    Very good location downtown Chicago, Walking distance to the store, lakefront and the big parks. The rooms have a classic hotel feel with wallpaper from a different generation. I liked to old style wallpaper and tall ceilings, it made this hotel a different from all the rest. I would stay here again for the right price.

    We took our nine-year-old granddaughter for her first trip to American Girl, and the Seneca was very conveniently located. We liked having a sitting room separate from the bedroom. It was very clean, and also close to Michigan Avenue. We took advantage of the clerk's suggestion to take a tour bus to show our granddaughter some of the sites of Chicago.

    This is one of my favorite hotels...great location right near Michigan Ave., little breakfast restaurant downstairs. Not the modern fusion kind of place, but very "homey" and welcoming. Great value for such a prime location.

    I've stayed at this hotel numerous times over the past few years. I've tried other hotels in the vicinity of the magnificent mile and have always came back to this one. Mainly it's the price and what you end up getting that draws me back. You practically get a whole apartment if booking a suite, which is nice when you don't want to spend a bunch on eating out. Also, having the wireless internet included in the price of the room without paying an additional surcharge is a plus. The only downfall is there needs to be a lot of updating in the rooms. Most of the furniture is older. Over the years of my many stays here some of the rooms are more updated but then sometimes I would get a room that was a little 'worn down'. One stay I had a tv that was a nice flat screen. Another stay the tv in the living room area of the suite did not work. Although I would like for the hotel to update their rooms to a more modern look with updated conveniences I'm realistic and know this won't happen overnight; and it won't have an affect on any future visits. Every time I stay here and this last time included the staff has always been helpful and courteous. Will I stay there again in the near future? Yes, most likely again this summer.
