This has been our best vacations by far... The hotel is gorgeous, right on the ocean, well located to Lincoln Road (shops and restaurants), the staff is so friendly - but what was the best of all, is that everything is cater for kids (kids menu, kids activities around the pool at 1 pm, games and ice cream complimentary, kids high chair for lunch at the pool) Our 8 years old daughter had a blast. Our baby (18 months old) loved it too. There is a side of the pool that is made for baby with shallow water . When we arrived we realized we had left our baby swim suit in Boston, the staff of the hotel offered two disposable bathing suit for our baby (just an example of how kind the staff was) I would highly recommend this hotel to a family !!

The Loews has the best pool pampering! The staff was friendly, helpful and they were not open handed with an expected tip everytime they assisted you. Cold flavored water, sunscreen, several snacks, and twice a day the snowcone cart was available for no extra charge. Also very good security which is necessary for Miami. My only problem was the noisy, ill behaved children in the restaurant late at night. There were 2 and 3 year olds who should have been in bed. It made it difficult to have a relaxing dinner.

Get ready to pay pay pay. Fantastic location but everything in the hotel is extra. And extra a lot. Get ready for $6 bottles of water, $5 ONE scoop of ice cream, $15 per day internet, and $31 if you want a chair and umbrella at the beach. Yes, the hotel says it has its own section of beach for its guests but if you want a chair and umbrella... Well that's a different story. $31. After a couple of days you don't want to touch anything in the hotel anymore and try to spend as much time away from it as possible. But again, the location is fantastic.

This was our first stay at Loews. Beautiful hotel and facilities right at the beach. Room was larger than most and very up to date and clean. The staff let us check in at 10:30 a.m. And check out late at 1:00 p.m. My biggest complaint was that there was an 18% gratuity on all meals. Even the Starbucks in the lobby added a 20% service charge to an already overpriced cup of coffee. Although the beach is right there, it cost the two of us $45 to rent two beach chairs and an umbrella. There are a lot of little extra charges that all add up. Dozens of restaurants within very short walking distance. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Would I go back? Definitely.

Hotel was clean .classy , cool & comfortable also close to Lincoln Road if you wish to try different types of dinning. The staff was very nice and made you feel very welcome. The food and drinks are somewhat pricey but expected at a classy hotel such as the Lowes. Pool is open 24hrs so if you feel like taking a midnight swim no problem, also they have 24 hr security so no one can just roam in so you feel safe during late evening swims and cocktails. My wife and I stayed for 7 nights 7/30/12 to 8/6/12 and looking to go back before the month runs out!!..Lowes has an area on the Beach and supplies beach chairs & unbrellas for a fee and swimming in the ocean at south beach was heavenly !..Lester & Diane NYC
