We are always a little cautious staying in the loop, as we have had some poor rooms in years past, including right here at the hilton. However, the lication is excellent, and cabs are always close though walking is often as practical because of the location. Taste of Chicago came up, and we found nothing available for reasonable price on the Mile, so we looked at the Hilton again. The last few times have been trouble free if not superb. This time, our aprehensions can be put to bed; the upgrades are done, the staff is everywhere, and the hotel is buzzing with life as I have not seen in 20 years! At current prices, Hilton will no longer be a reluctant second choice, but with ever improving results this may be one of our Go-To choices. The dining is convenient, the rooms are absolutely well done, the public areas astounding. Our little girl spent an hour in the Ballroom Entrance playing princess and staring at the incredible ceiling. All round, the value and amenities clearly restore this Hilton to former glory and more. Thanks again for a wonderful stay.

Our family of four stayed here for four nights while touring Chicago on vacation. Great price. It was centrally located to all the main tourist attractions. Our floor could have used a refurbishing, but we did have two bathrooms. The old hotel feel was a great novelty -- old ballrooms, etc. Staff was very helpful. I'd recommend it.

I loved the historic feel of this hotel. It was perfectly located in the loop right on Grant park by the Buckingham fountain. The walk to River North which is where all the great restaurants and bars are is only a 1 mile walk. The staff was very helpful. The beds were amazingly comfortable. I would definitely stay here again
