Checked into hotel in very early morning hours. Room was nice but we were awakened by loud fight, glass breaking, etc., from the alley below. Sounded like we were in very bad neighborhood. Trains were very noisy too. Once we were able to venture out during the day we found out the reviews of the area we accurate and we were able to enjoy the remainder of our stay. Just disappointed with the noise level if you are on the side of the hotel near the tracks. Hotel staff was friendly.

City Suites was close to the "L" line which allowed us to take the Red line downtown to visit the sites and then the Brown line to go Northwest to get to a great German restruant in Lincoln Square. The staff at the hotel was pleasant and very helpful with suggestions and recommendations. I will stay here the next time I am in Chicago.

This hotel was within walking distance to Wrigley Field. Rooms were clean and well decorated. The staff was great and very helpful. They answered questions related to the area and pointed us in the right direction. The parking garage is actually about 1.5 blocks away and you should stop by the lobby to get a card for the garage when you check in. Parking was expensive, but from what I have seen not uncommon in Chicago. Stayed in a suite and the amount of room was great, and unexpected. We did have a room that looked out onto the rail station. The noise was easily heard all through the night. But if you can fall a sleep to constant noise then it was not a problem. Or if you have visited the bars around Wrigley that night you should not have trouble sleeping.

Fantastic place to stay if you are looking to stay near Boys Town. Only one block away from the start of the bars on Halsted. The rooms are on the smaller side but you are in an older hotel in Chicago. I say the rooms are great but I only look at it based on sleeping and not really spending any time in them. Also, the hotel is literally located right next to the Belmount stop on the red line. So if you do not like trains or think that you can not sleep with them stopping and going all night, then I suggest you seek another place. The staff is great and very pleasent. One thing that I found personally cool, the hotel participated in Earth Hour. If you don't know what it is, just google it. But they had turned off the lights in the lobby, had a guitarist, some snacks and also wine for you to drink. Was a really nice of them to offer. Every time I come into chicago and stay, this is the hotel that I have stayed at. Worth the money for the rooms and location.
