AC/Heater was filthy, grille was missing and inside was full of black dust/fungus inside? Had to stuff a towel inside the discharge to filter the air to avoid breathing in the mystery mold! Room was stinky, smelly, old soiled carpet, outdated TV, bathroom was funky! Will never stay at this location again!

Reading some of the other reviews made this hotel sound not as nice as I thought it was. The outside of the buildings are nothing fancy nor were the rooms but they were well decorated, nice furniture and most importantly clean. When we checked in they just started doing renovations the week before. The pool and hot tub areas were clean and they had plenty of lounge chairs and a few cabanas.

I read many reviews before making my choice to stay here. I was a little sketchy as many people complained about their cleanliness but it was a good price and close to everything I wanted to visit. The room was average...it was a good size, bed was comfortable, pillows were comfortable, the blanket was light but it was warm enough that it didn't matter.It had all the necessities. The floor was, however, stained and dirty. I would reccomend not walking barefoot. We used the hotels taxi service and the guy was a little pricey and carried his dog in the van. I would suggest calling your own taxi if you choose to use one. I didn't visit the restaurant on site so I can't review that, although the food smelled wonderful in the morning. This is by no mean a 5 star hotel, it does not come with any whistles or bells. But, if you just need somewhere to stay that is not expensive and close to nearly all San Diego attractions (we were no more then 15 minutes from everywhere we wanted to go), this is your place to stay.
