Stayed at the hotel in March, 2013. Great service from bellmen. Checked in without a problem. Could not check out via the tv, so we had to go to the front desk. Nice bar and restaurant in the lobby. A little pricey though. Room was great. Stay here and take the short drive to South Beach. Bayside Mall is only a short walk away, so is the AA Arena. I'd definitely stay here again.

We had a pre-paid King Deluxe Bay-view room with breakfast. Upon arrival we were informed that they did not have a room available for us, the only option was a room with two twin beds. Eventually we were put in a room facing downtown. The room itself had not been thoroughly cleaned in quite some time. Dust bunnies, toothpaste on the bathroom mirror and faucet, dirty coffee mugs, handprints on the windows, several stained towels in the bathroom, stains on the ceiling over the bed that one could only wonder and very dusty room overall. We have serious dust allergies, which made our stay a virtual nightmare. This is a very uncharacteristic hotel experience for us, since we were celebrating a special event, not to mention the price paid for this type of accommodation.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel. It was very swanky yet comfortable. They have a Starbucks in the lobby (which was a huge plus to me). We were heading out on a cruise the next day and were able to take advantage of the parking directly in front of the hotel for the in between time (check out & cruise that is). They do charge for parking, so factor that into your budget for the stay.

Exactly as advertised, I would recommend the Intercontinental to all. The facilities are fantastic, rooms are well appointed and spacious, and the staff is extremely courteous. Next time I am in Miami I will definitely stay here again.

Once I arrived, I was sure I had made a great selection. The hotel is made of marble both on the outside as well as the inside, and the structure is impressive. Once you enter the lobby, you are hit with a pleasant aroma which I later learned is green tea lemongrass. This alone welcomes you to relax and smell the air. Flower arrangements within the lobby are gorgeous . Staff is very courteous . Cleanliness is outstanding.
