    Overall we had a great time. A few drawbacks were you had to find a spot at the pool right when it opened or else you were out of luck. The kid's free activities were already booked for the week before we even checked in (i.e. lei making). The nicer restaurants (i.e. Benihana) needed reservations and couldn't accept walk-ins. Definitely had to plan day by day way in advance. In that sense not leisurely at all. The staff was nice and accommodating! We reserved the 1 bedroom suite because we have 2 smaller children and needed the space. Very nice!!! Lots of renovations are underway. So it'll be even more touristy!

    The front desk staff immediately made us feel welcome - and we were upgraded to a suite with a perfect view of the Friday night fireworks. The accommodations couldn't have been better - staff took great care of us. The shops and restaurants on property were quite pricey, but it was good quality as well. Loved the asian noodle restaurant and the NY Deli. We did find a 24-hour restaurant within walking distance that was at least 35% cheaper, and good food as well. Hotel staff helped us with tours around the island, they were definitely well-managed. I'd definitely go back there, if I was in Honolulu again.

    The location, ammenities, multiple pools and grounds were all great. it was perfect for my 13 year old daughter and me.
