Me and my husband stayed at Hilton when we went to honolulu for our honeymoon trip. We loved everything about the hotel starting from the tasteful decorated and comfortable room to the friendly workers. The location was perfect it was a quick walk away from all the major malls and main streets. The beach was in our front yard. The food is a little expensive at the hotel so we only ate there once, we mostly ate at near by restaurants like the ones in the mall or fast food. However, we ate at the Cheesecake Factory and loved it. The food was not too expensive and the service was fantastic! We are already starting to plan our next trip to Waikiki and we want to only stay at the Hilton Tapa Tower! Would recommend this hotel to everyone!

Overall, this hotel has a perfect beach location, gorgeous grounds, tons of small shops ( over 90!) and many restaurants. However, We stayed over Labor Day weekend and it was so unbelievably crowded that we didnt find it relaxing at all. The room was nice and clean but not any nicer than hotels that charge less. The bed was very comfy. The pools were jamed packed with kids all day . Weddings were held on the grounds in the middle of all the crowds during our stay. We walked by the vistor welcoming center (big mistake) and ended up getting sucked into wasting 40 minutes of our time hearing about a timehare and being signed up for a 90 minute presentation even though we told her over and over we werent interested. She was VERY pushy and wouldnt take NO for an answer. Next time I wont be so polite and will just walk away. We didnt go to the 90 minute presentation. We tried several restaurants and the food was not good at any of them and VERY overpriced for what you get. Hilton charges a lot for the room and just keeps on charging for every little thing. The parking was $$ pr day. We were told we had an upgraded room but when we got to it ( a long way from the front desk) we found out it was a handicap room , no view. The lines at check in are VERY long unless you are a Hilton Honors member. That line was short and quick so if you are going to this hotel make sure you are a member! Overall, I would go back because I loved the beautiful grounds and the shops but I will go when it isnt so busy!

Great resort for families...there is a penguin and turtle habitat, ponds that have koi fish and flamingos, and the pools are beautiful with a breathtaking view of the beach- perfect for us because my husband loves the waves, my 3-year old loves the sand, but me and my 6-month old daughter love the pool. we all got to enjoy ourselves within a close proximity to each other and to our room. We also enjoyed the Atlantis submarine excursion that conveniently docks from the resort. And when my brother and his wife were able to babysit the kids, my husband and i had a romantic date without having to leave the resort! We had a wonderful dinner at Bali-by-the-Sea, complete with a gorgeous view. And afterwards, we had some cocktails by the pool and listened to the live music. We had only a couple of complaints: one was that our one-bedroom suite felt cramped, and the furniture seemed old and dated. It was definitely not what we had expected since we had stayed in the Rainbow Tower the last time we stayed there, and it was very beautiful and spacious. But this time we stayed in the Diamond Head Tower and although the location was nice since it was close to the Super Pool, it seemed like the oldest tower,,, small rooms, small bathrooms, and big cheezy furniture. We had to move furniture around to fit our stroller. Our other complaint: the food at the Tropics cafe was not very good and waaay over-priced. My husband ordered fish and chips for almost $17, and there were only 3 strips of fish! But overall, the stay was very enjoyable because of the amenities that the resort offers families. We would definitely stay there again.

The property was beautuful and the room was lovely. We ate one meal of 4 ""mini"" pizzas plus drinks (3 beers and 2 Shirley Temples) and it was approx. $ with the tip! Parking is not convenient, so you are forced to Valet park to get your luggage to the hotel room unless you want to drag your luggage through the grounds and across the street. There were no places to pull over to drop off luggage in order to avaoid the luggage fiasco. If you were a tourist on a big tour bus, this resort would be perfect...if you were a ""shopper"" it would have been heaven. If you were there to enjoy the beach, you were out of luck! The beach was crowded and the water on the beach was murky probably because of the angle of their beach to the sea wall... The ""stocked"" lagoon for snorkeling was surrounded by what felt like imported sand that had been brought in by truck...in addition it was filled with tons of microscopic baby fish. If there were fish worth seeing, it was not obvious since the water was so dirty. We moved to the HIlton from a very inexpensive hotel and enjoyed the beach more at Waikiki Beach toward the police station where there was clear water and tons of Tropical FISH for snorkeling. We left the Hilton after one night and were forced to pay a $ cancellation fee...although the Hilton Manager on duty refused to waive the cancellation fee, it was worth it to get back to a real beach. This hotel seemd very capable of handling huge tour groups, but we were surprised at their lack of concern for the individual family.
