The Hotel was located in a excellent location. There was several shops and restaurants close by. I would have no problems with staying here again.

The Hilton Hawaiin Village is truly the only resort on Oahu. If you're looking for tranquility and worried about the modern (crapmped) aspects of Waikiki, the Hilton on Oahu is the only place to stay. My wife and I stayed for our honeymoon in 2007 and loved it. We were upgraded at the airport checkin from the Kalia Tower (more inland) to the exclusive Ali'i Tower (closer to the beach) and only stay there now. We're heading back this year (2011) for our 4th anniversary. Can't wait.

We stayed in this hotel for 6 nights and enjoyed each one. The beds are super plush and very comfortable. We stayed in the rainbow tower. The hallways could use some updating but the rooms were very nice. Clean carpet and clean beds. Not afraid to walk around barefoot. Our oceanview room was of the lagoon and marina but it was still nice. The diamond head side would have been nicer. The other tower with the private pool looked a littler nicer and had free workout rooms if you really need them, still same hotel just different towers. We didn't try to use the workout facilities. The pools at the hotel are very nice as well. We spend most of the time in the big super pool but the last night we tried the pool with the slides and it was cool with the waterfalls. The slides close at 5pm so after it is quiet around there. You get towels at this stand thing that you can use at the ocean or pools but they stop giving them out at about 5 even though the pools are open to 10. So if you want a towel get one and hang onto it. Our tower had no wifi, they did have wired internet but I didn't try it. Our room had a 27" tube tv but we really didn't watch much tv so I didn't mind. Small fridge under the sink and a coffee maker. The in room safe didn't work right but I really didn't care enough to complain while we were staying. I mentioned when I left and they took note of it. The ac worked great it was a central air thing and didn't make loud noises at night. The hotel was very quiet and very comfortable. We did self parking and it worked just fine. We found a second entrance to the parking ramp the 2nd day and it was a lot easier to get in and out, on the back side by the pizza place. Most of the lower level spots were for valet only so you have to spend a bit of time driving up to park and down to leave. On Friday night they did a fireworks show on the beach and everyone in town seems to come for the free show. Cars are everywhere and people are all over the place. They launch them off and the booms off the buildings were cool. It was a short show and we went to eat before this started and it paid off as soon as the show ended everyone went to the hotels restaurants to find food and had to wait for tables. This hotel was great and we will be back again. This hotel was located perfectly. Out of the crowded areas of Waikiki but close enough that a short walk gets you into the town. It was nice to have area to walk and just unwind.
