The Avalon has two hotels, I stayed in the Majestic. Seems to cater more to singles/sudents. I was also there July 4th week and it was like spring break on the front porch. Avoid here if you are a couple during a holiday week. Rooms are basic, had stains and cigarette burns on the furniture and blankets. The restaurant was great. The location was great. Some of the front desk staff were less than professional. If you were to ask for something you were often told, ""No I'm having a very rough day!"" Again you get what you pay for. Great deal just don't expect much.

This Hotel is going through some renovation however it does not interfere with your stay. Rooms were very clean. What made this stay awesome was the staff very informative and helpful had your best interest in mind. Location was comfortable walk to everywhere, shopping eating, dancing and the beach. I would stay here again.

The Avalon rocks...!!! It's all about the location. Nestled near EVERYTHING. Walking distance to it all: Beach is across the street, Clubs, Restaurants and Shopping. Highly recommend this hotel for the descent diggs and the restaurant tops it all off....The Executive Chef Joe knows how to treat guests and he is all about the guests. Excellent Wine/Dinner menu...going back to MIA in a couple of months and def. staying at the Avalon. WiFi enabled, but hotel has comp on site if you don't have a laptop...need i say more!!!

This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. The rooms were out of the 50's and probably haven't been updated since. The rooms were small, beds uncomfortable, and the a/c made noise all night. The only nice thing was the location.

I love this hotel. It is absolutely the best place to stay in South Beach. And i have stayed in a few hotels down there. It is right on the beach and in the middle of everything. There are two avalon hotels. Try to stay in the nonsmoking one (majestic). It also has a porch in the front where you can just sit and relax. There is a fridge and safe in each room. The floors have carpet. The rooms are Super Clean. Free breakfast every morning!!!!!
