Having previously lived in DC I knew what I was looking for in a hotel for a long weekend trip and this is it. Within close walking distance to the Orange, Blue and Red Metro lines. As well as within (a longer) walking distance to the Smithsonians, etc. It was an easy Metro ride from Reagan. There are several restaurants, coffee shops, a CVS and a liquor store close as well. And one thing I insist on when traveling is a comfy bed. Down pillows and fluffy blankets. Rooms and common areas were clean. Nice but smaller bathroom. I was pleased with my stay.

We take out grandchildren on a trip to Washington when they turn 13. This year was the forth such trip and our forth stay at this hotel. It is very comfortable and welcoming. While we don't spend much time in our room during these stays - the rooms are clean and comfortable and a wonderful place to put your feet up and relax at the end of the day. We have two grandchildren yet to turn 13 and we hope to stay at the Westen Washington DC City Center on these next two trips - its become part of ur tratdition.
