    Lovely hotel-stayed here only because our favorite place was booked. This may be our new spot. Vanessi at the front desk took excellent care of us and was friendly. Gumercindo and his crew at breakfast fawned over us making sure my mother and son were happy. "Gume" also made the effort to converse in Spanish with my 8 yr old so he could get some practice. WE felt welcome here and relaxed. So many of the 4-5 star hotels seems to have staff with attitudes-not here. It was a pleasant stay...clean and well maintained.

    Loved this hotel for the price. Just confused with the free continental breakfast vs normal breakfast. Other than that great hotel. Will be back in a couple of months. Just a $5 taxi cab from the boardwalk where all the resturants, bars and shops are or .60 on bus. Very safe. Great Value.

    Stayed there for a week in February. Junior sweet was a nice, affordable upgrade that had a patio overlooking the pool/facing the ocean. Staff was friendly and helpful. Hotel had an amazing open-air, 5 story, thatched-roof lobby. An exotic, luxurious feel to the whole place. Will definitely return.

    The only draw back is they don't like you to have food and drinks in your room. They like to encourage you to eat and drink their items. We did bring stuff to the room and nothing was said. There is a great grocery store across the street. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They do try and get you registered for a talk about their vacation points but they are no where near as pushy as the time share people. If you listen you get a free breakfast, a free tour and a $100.00 gift certificate for a diamond store.

    This hotel was a mix of very good with very bad. Our room, on the 8th floor had a spectacular view of mountains and ocean. We ended up spending a good amount of time on the private balcony just admiring it. The hotel over all is nice to look at with a beautiful entry way all the way back to the pool and beach area. With all the beauty to look at however, there was a real down side to this place. The service. It was awful. I was pretty much ignored the whole time I was there. My husband, on the other hand did receive more service than I. I soon grew very tired of the macho attitude displayed everywhere here. We never received any poolside service. I walked down the lobby one day. The hotel staff greeted the man in front of me like an old friend when he walked by. When I walked by they looked at me like I was something to get rid of. Of course no greeting, after all I'm just a mere woman. Also BE AWARE OF THE TIMESHARE SCAM they try to foist on you here. On our very first full day, they tricked us into a breakfast with a timeshare salesman. I thought we were going to talk to the hotel staff about tours, but not so. Two hours later, we finally walked out. Frankly, I would not come back here. The lack of service, attitude and trickery they practice just left too bad a taste in my mouth. To be fair, all the hotels in Puerto Vallarta probably are much the same, which is why we will go somewhere else our next trip.
