    This was the first all inclusive hotel that we had visited, and it was amazing. It is definitely well worth the cost. The rooms are spacious and extremely up to date. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The site was beautiful. It was such a great experience that we are going again to the same hotel again this May!

    i was dissapointed in the restaurants.the buffet was good but the specialty restaurant food was horrible i was very upset to find out later that the pool heaters were broke and that was why the water was so cold and we could not swim. and they didnt tell us that there or i would have confonted them . the location and staff was excellent ,felt very safe and secure i probably would not go there again..

    My wife and stayed from January 20 through January 28. The facility is well maintained and very clean. The room (ocean front) was beautiful. Food at the buffet and the cantiina was good. Food at the specialty (ala carte) restaurants was not good (we will avoid next year). Most of the staff is very friendly and helpful. Tips to the wait staff at the pool go a long way toward making sure your glass is never empty. The beach is not very big, so plan on staying in the pool area. Make sure to visit the little "village" on the beach south of the hotel. Great prices for all kinds of tours, local food and massages. The people there are very nice. A short walk into the town of Mismaloya for dinner at Tony's is well worth it. Best value for dollars spent of any vacation we have ever taken.

    I had read all the reviews before booking this hotel and also, one of the girls at work (who is quite particular where she stays), recommended this property. I was impressed with the wait staff; our suite was the size of a small apartment; it was easy to get around the whole property; it was clean,cozy and beautiful. There was a band that played every nite and they were excellent. The food was very good. This property is about six miles south of Puerto Vallarta, but the bus comes by and takes you right to old town. The price---7 pesos. There is also cab service available at all times. Yes, I would go back to the Barcelo anytime with anticipation.
