Great resort has a lot to offer. Staff go the extra mile to keep you happy and comfortable. Great food and drinks. Beach a little rough for me but I enjoyed the pool and watching the waves. Great location if you are the type that likes privacy. Downtown only a 10 minute ride from resort. Great entertainment during the day. Has a small sports bar but we had a lot of fun dancing and drinking until late hours. Very safe resort. I would definitely go back.

  • Bed was comfy- at least there was that!

Not at all what I was expecting. Would not choose to return. Night activities were boring to put it nicely. Alcohol was watered down, food was ok at best. The only adult only restaurant had terrible food. This absolutely seemed to be more of a family resort not one for couples. If your looking to hear lots of screaming, crying and children running around this is the place to be.

This was our first time at an all inclusive resort. It was a very luxurious experience compared to my other travels. Basically, there motto was “If it’s taking a while, please let us fill your glass”. It took a while to receive food and room service, but in the mean time they would refill your wine frequently and stock our mini fridge. It was not something that upset us. The food had smaller portions but I think this is to reduce waste. I personally, liked the smaller portions. It allowed me to try an appetizer, main and dessert without feeling too gluttonous. The buffet was good. I would say on the same level as a cruise buffet. They had lots of actives to do/try. The drinks were great. We saw reviews about the bars getting crowded but we did not have this problem. We could handle the 5 minute wait. The room was spacious and had a great view. It was very easy to just stay at the resort all day. They had local boats come to shore and offer excursions to the dive/snorkel sites. We booked from a dive shop in town. It ended up being more hassle. Getting to town from the resort is about $18 USD round trip. The taxi took us to the wrong pier even though we asked for the dive shop. Which leads to the only problem we had…getting to town. We heard there was a shuttle that was only $6.50 USD; there was none. It was difficult getting to local bus routes so we had to rely on taxis. But since it is more south it is closer to the botanical gardens and the zoo. If you want to be away from the hustle and bustle of the city then I recommend this location. Nonetheless we enjoyed our stay very much and would return.

My wife and I stayed 9 days at Dreams over Memorial Day and had a fabulous time. This was our fifth stay at this property and the service was excellent as always and the food was even better than last time. This property is a little older than some but kept in tip top condition. This trip we stayed in the "preferred"tower and it was excellent with over the top service, but for the difference I think the original hotel is just as nice. Remember it is Mexico and to treat the staff cordially and they are always polity and try hard to please. Small tips help with drinks and meals and for a 5 or ten they will move mountains for you. Exceptional location also...just 5 to ten minutes to most places in town for about 5us. A word to the wise...you do not need any special car service at the Airport... But as you walk out you will run a gauntlet of timeshare or vacation sales people...DO NOT MAKE EYE CONTACT or you will be targeted...they will offer the moon and the stars but it will cost you thousands and it will not pencil out and you will spend a minimum of 5 hours of YOUR vacation listening to their pitch....go clear outside and turn right and you will find all the cabs and car services. Puerto Vallarta seemed safe but I would not venture too far off the Malacon... We did go to the Vista Grill and it was nice with a great view but pricey especially when you can have fresh fish and bacon wrapped filet back at Dreams. Also the zip line trip was a lot of fun.
