We just got back and were enthusiastic to write a good review. The other reviews are accurate about the resort being really clean and well kept, and the staff being really friendly and attentive. The only other all-inclusive resort we have stayed at was Sandals Grand Bahamian, so in comparison, the Dreams resort was cleaner, and drinks, beach, and entertainment were generally better, but the rooms, pool, and food were a bit worse, but still fine. Some loud, unruly kids around did cramp our style at times vs. adults-only Sandals. We got a basic room that was repainted with new linens, but still looked old. Our room had a clogged toilet but they moved us to another room no problem. The rooms have great views and the sunsets are stunning. The big dinner parties they have are great with a huge selection of food and good music. Tipping isn't required but we were happy to and the staff responded really positively to that. They gave us 2-for-1 spa services and extra time too. There are many sporty activities to do, some with extra fees. We went on the Sea Safari tour from Vallarta Adventures and it was seriously awesome (horseback ride to waterfall, snorkel, visit to indigenous village, tequila tasting, picnic). It runs Tues-Thurs, and ask for C as your guide. It's for active people, but you won't be disappointed.

We stayed at Dreams for our honeymoon in April 2010. Stayed in the preferred tower. Wonderful all inclusive resort with great security. Totally private, no public access to resort or beach. No wrist bands. Never had a bad meal. Only one of the restaurants is a buffet (and a great one at that). Never waited for a table at any of the other restaurants. No reservations needed or taken at any of the restaurants. Only one restaurant with dress code. Great activities by resort throughout the day (tequilla tasting, yoga, water aerobics, massage class, bingo). Great nightly entertainment. Helpful and friendly staff throughout. Spa is okay, just average. Would recommend this resort over and over again. I really don't have a bad thing to say about it. Hope to return for our anniversary in the future.

Bad news 1st - Do Not Purchase the transfers on Travel online. There are PLENTY of taxis available at the airport and it will cost around * US to get to the hotel. The company that runs the shuttle will hound you to take excursions. When you get there - be sure to walk right past all the people trying to direct you to the counter on the right. They make you think youre going to check in for your ride but its a time share. OK now the good news. This hotel is perfect in every way! The food the pools the beach the entertainment - its all what you would expect from an all inclusive. Its a clean friendly environment to enjoy a beautiful holiday.

My husband and I went to this hotel for our honeymoon 11 years ago when it was Camino Real...and let's just say this return trip to what is now Dreams Vallarta was a thousand times better! This place is amazing! (Yes I know I already said that, but I REALLY mean it) The resort is beyond beautiful, everything clean and visually astounding. The landscaping was wonderful and really gave the feeling of privacy. We didn't expect such tasteful, creatively designed food in every restaurant we ate at. Everyone we encountered that worked at the hotel, save one check-in clerk, was extremely kind and helpful...we loved to tip because they truly deserved it. The one thing, the only thing I will complain about, is the entertainment. My husband and I do NOT like sensuous, "pg-13" dancing for entertainment and that is almost all they offered. The last night, though, was a authentic Mariachi (sp) band and (Fully clothed :) dancers which we loved. Thank you Dreams for doing such a wonderful job!

We came back from our week long stay at the resort today. We had a great time. The resort is located at one of the most beautiful spots in Puerto Vallarta. It is one of the only resorts with a a truly private beach. We stayed at the older tower and had a great ocean view room. While the rooms in the newer tower are much nicer the difference in price wasnt worth it to us. The food at the restaurants was good especially the Portofino. Also the staff was great. They kept the grounds in great condition and we never had to wait long for a drink or a meal. The resort also does a great job with the kids and has lots of great activities to keep them busy during the day. Even though lots of the guests brought kids we never noticed any problems or found that they took anything away from the romantic experience. In addition the resort is located conveniently on the bus line that will take you into Puerto Vallarta or south to Misamoya Boca de Tomatlan the Botanical Garden or Tuito. I strongly recommend going to the Botanical Garden and also recommend taking the bus to Boca de Tomatlan and hiking the beautiful trail to Las Animas Beach. It is incredible. Only two minor complaints about the resort. First the drinks are watered down which really didnt bother me too much since Im a beer drinker. The other issue involved the guests reserving the chairs on the beach. People would go down to the beach early in the morning and place towels and personal belongings on the prime beach chair locations. It was annoying because they often werent there most of the day.
