My wife and I had an excellent time at this resort. We went in early May of 2010, and would definitely return. The resort is nestled among foliage on all sides in a very secluded setting. The entrance is gated and names are checked upon entering or leaving as a nice security touch. The hotel staff was very friendly at all times and very accommodating. With the all inclusive package, you get a chance to dine at a variety of restaurants, and only once during out 7 day stay did we have to wait for seating. The food was always delicious and the unlimited bar was great and included top shelf liquors. Almost every night they had some type of entertainment, set up by the main pool. For the events, the tables are set with white linens, napkins, glassware etc. - i.e. very fancy. As events/dinners were usually early evening, the sunsets were amazing along the beach front. The rooms were kept clean and we always found the house keeping staff very friendly. We had an ocean front with a balcony and the views were terrific. Only the Italian restaurant required (suggested) fancier dress for evening dining. And that restaurant is a "must" to have dinner at. The food and service were excellent. No tips are expected, but at times we left a tip at the bar(s) or restaurant, as the service was worth it. We also took advantage of the spa, for a couples massage. This is done on a private terrace overlooking the ocean. It lasted close to an hour and completed with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries - very nice! The massages are extra, and one of the few things not included with the all inclusive amenities. The others are a small gift shop and photographer they have available on the premises. The beach was clean, and very private, and there is a food shack on the beach for drinks and food (burgers, hot dogs, tacos, nachos etc). Waiters typically come over to you for service, but the are not obnoxious, just courteous. Kayaks were free to use on the beach, and while we were there there was a private business offering para-sailing on some days for an extra fee. The entertainment was always great, and although we didn't have kids, at one end of the facility there are activities for them. At times, we didn't think there were kids at the resort at all, so they must be kept busy. I believe the parents get a "buzzer", like those in restaurants, if the day care needs to contact you. Taxi service is available at the lobby, as are various excursions. They will tell you what the fare will be for any destination, so there are no surprises. There is a small exercise facility at one end - towels and water are provided. We did not stay in the "Tower" but believe they have a separate lounge area, although we never needed to use it. Besides trips into Puerto Vallata, we only went on a snorkeling/scuba diving tour that lasted a good part of the day, and was reasonable. Overall this was a fantastic resort. The food and restaurant choices was great, staff friendly, rooms clean, and its location and huge private beach, set it apart from pother places we have been. We celebrated our 25th anniversary there, were not at all disappointed. and would definitely recommend it.

My husband and I stayed at Dreams PV for a week in mid-June. We stayed in the older tower and were happy with our choice. The bathroom was well-updated, the furniture was nice, and the bed was very comfortable. Most importantly, the room was always VERY clean - one of the cleanest hotel rooms I've ever stayed in. The only upgrade I would recommend is to get a balcony room - the extra outdoor space is really great. Check-in was effortless and our bags were brought to our room very quickly. The room we were in at first had its view of the ocean blocked by a large tree and the shade pool. I immediately requested a room with a better view, and was told that we would have to stay in that room for one night and that we could move to a different room the next day. That happened with no hassles and our second room had a spectacular view. The food and drinks were great. Overall it wasn't five-star gourmet, but it was delicious and plentiful. My husband has food allergies and the employees were very conscientious about it for the duration of our trip. The beach is beautiful, clean, and private. There are vendors, but they won't bother you if you say no. This was a great place for couples or families. I didn't notice any out-of-control kids...but we stayed away from the main pool area. There was always something to do, or you could just lay on the beach. We used the adult infinity pool and it was quiet and very clean. The best part are the employees! They are always ready to help and any request you make is met with a smile and "It's my pleasure." We can't wait to go back!

We stayed at the Dreams All Inclusive Resort & Spa. We booked online because the hotel looked very nice; however, in all actuality, the room quality was not its best. We requested a King, and when we got there we got a double. We also could not check in until passed 4. We arrived at 3 p.m., which is check-in time. The front desk staff made us wait, and our luggage was outside until our room was ready. Little did we know that out room was a double, until the bellboy brought us to our room. We went back down, and they told us they didn't have a king available, regardless of what we booked online. "There is no guarantee," we were told. They did try to accommodate us as soon as we went from a double to another doubled room with wet paint on the walls. Finally, they told us that a king was available. Gee.... that quick, huh? After they told us they were full. The best part was that when we finally got to the king bedded room, it was on the 1st floor overlooking bushes and 2 lawn chairs. Meanwhile, online we requested ocean view, king size bed. The best is yet to come... There was urine left on the toilet seat of our king size bed. It was very disturbing, disgusting, and not to our expectations. The staff was friendly, but the cleanliness was terrible, and the bedspread had stains, which was disgusting. The rooms could use some renovations for the price they charge. Also, on the pictures on their website for Puerto Vallarta, there is a restaurant in the corner on top of rocks; yeah, totally not there's. We will not stay there again. Beautiful area but the hotel was not great.
