    Just returned from what was supposed to be an enjoyable five days in Cancun. Not only is the hotel FAR BELOW the Hyatt standards, but the overall experience at the hotel was very poor. Started with an offer for a free upgrade and one breakfast, followed by an assignment to a dirty room, followed by no wash rags, dirty bathroom, a randomly flushing toilet, poor service at the pool, then the piece 'de resistance being charged for the free breakfast and the ensueing argument with the front desk "clerk" about how we were "liars." Never in all of my stays has anyone on the hotel side of the front desk called my wife or I liars. Just amazing. Cancun has been fun for us, but based upon this experience, we are now heading somewhere else to spend our vacation dollar. The price was good; however, a discounted rate shouldn't result in degraded service. I very rarely provide poor feedback for a hotel, having worked in the industry before, I know how tough the jobs are; however, this was way beyond acceptable. If you have a choice to stay somewhere else....DO IT IN QUICKLY.

    Short walk to Carlos 'n Charlies, Senor Frog's, Hard Rock, and places you won't find anywhere but Cancun. Nevertheless, you would never know it inside this hotel which is decorated in soft dark woods and cotton fabrics. Staff is very accommodating. Beautiful balcony views. Two pools and swim up bar. No beach, but you can stay on sand at Dreams just to the left facing the ocean. There is a path in back of the hotel. This hotel is adult oriented. No planned activities or children's camp. Just an elegant atmosphere in a stunning location. Great for a honeymoon or romantic getaway.

    The hotel was awesome, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The views of the ocean are wonderful and the room was comfortable. We never ate at the hotel but probably should have the prices looked fair. If you want to get something to drink/eat for a snack the oxxo across the street is your best bet ... the hotel is outrages on their prices for the drinks in your in room bar. Don't eat at the Chilli's, ( I ordered a well done burger and got a raw one sent it back and got another raw one....) The Hooters wasn't any good either... RainForest Cafe was a good spot and located just down the street... If you want to go shopping at Market 28 walk down a couple of blocks and get on the bus! 7 peso's instead of 120 for a cab ride.. The hotel was located near all of this stuff and was an awesome place to stay.! Would Stay again for Sure Very nice Hotel !!!

    The guest rooms were decorated in a modern sophisticated decor. We had a wonderful view of the beach and Caribbean Sea. There was a wonderful breakfast buffet offered every morning, and the pool area was fabulous, there was something for all, whether you were in the mood to swim or just lounge on the in-pool chaise, covered love seats, or the cabana beds available with a sea front view, we tried them all and loved every minute. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We look forward to a return trip.
