We were moved to the Hyatt when the Gran Melia didn't have our pre-paid room. We were delighted with the Hyatt. The hotel was lovely, and the staff very friendly and helpful. View from the rooms is spectacular. The pool, while cold, was great and the cabanas for sunbathing are THE BEST! The beach is beautiful and the water was great. Food was excellent with some great deals. We also had a couples massage that was wonderful. Location is within walking distance of several shopping areas and clubs. I highly recommend this as a great resort for couples wanting to get away and relax. No time share sales pitches!!!

The staff was very helpful and great. Close to a lot of different things, easy to get a bus or cab. Lots of shopping too. The room was very nice and we had a great view. Was easy to get anything we wanted. Food and drinks were fabulous!!!

Hotel LOOKS nice but room had bugs #40termites they looked like#41 on the wall in the room #40that was our 2nd room#41 we called to get a refund to go back to Riu #40very nice hotel#41 and they sent someone up with BUG SPRAY! We spoke to the hotel mngr and they agreed to quotUpgradequot us to a suite. Nice room but one of the bathroom cielings was leaking all over the bathroom leaving us with one bathroom which we delt with. Dont try to get any sleep though it was very noisy they need to insulate the patio doors to get less noise from the clubs. No beach and hotel staff did not speak english very well.

Very surprised by Hyatt Regency Cancun and it didnt seem 4 start at all. Tiles in the bathroom were broken, bath tub had cracks, washbasin was broken and had damages on the tiles. Took a tour of other properties around Cancun and felt there were other properties with better ammenities at lower costs.

I spent two nights at the Hyatt. The staff was wonderful. I paid a little extra for an ocean view, hoping to sleep with the window open and listen to the surf. Well, there is a discoteque that pounded music until 6AM, complete with a flashing light that could be heard even with the window closed. I moved to a room facing the other side of the ocean the following morning. I was able to sleep with my window open and listen to the surf. But during the day the noise from construction was very loud. Bottled water was very expensive and the in-room coffee was free for the first day only. Water from the tap is supposed to be safe to drink but it smells like sulfur so this is not an option. Luckily, the XOXO across the street has inexpensive water and beer. Also, wireless internet cost $* per day. The hotel was clean, staff helpful. I paid $* per night.
