04/02/2013The resort was great..we go there once a year and still have never been let down...the staff is excellent...and the food is great..not sick yet..lol.. ...
the resort was great..we go there once a year and still have never been let down...the staff is excellent...and the food is great..not sick yet..lol..the location is the best..covered by 3 sides of water you are most def getting an ocean view in any room you stay at...and its kid friendly for the families..and close for shopping..been to 2 other resorts and still came back to Dreams...

We went with our 20 yr old kids and everyone had a great time. Staff was going out of thier way to make us comfortable and treated us very well. They called us by name in places that we returned daily. Very pleased we will return, no doubt. I didnt run into anyone in 5 days that was not happy with thier trip. Food was very good, the steakhouse at the towers was the best place we returned 3 times. Buffet breakfast was very good lots of choices. I would recommend that if you book any trips outside the hotel that you do your research, Nothing to do with the hotel. The Isle was not worth our time, dirty- cheap stuff, no restrooms, very poor area, we would not return. Buses were very safe during the day, some shopping with in walking distance, taxi was 10 each way for 4 people that was safe, hotel arranged for us.

My wife and I vacation in Cancun regularly and this was our least favorite resort so far. The resort is beautiful and has great beach. Staff did not care about trying to make us happy. Our shower had big leak in ceiling. Toilet did not flush well. Bartender at Hintsu restaurant/bar was lazy and rude on multiple occassions. Moldy shower. None of the staff seemed eager to please despite tips. We went with 2 other easy going adult couples. All of us said we will spend our money at other resorts. Internet was spotty at best. We stayed in Tower or Preferred Club hoping for great service. Did not get it.

Terrible experience. Hotel is very old and the staff is much more concerned with selling you a time share than serving your needs. Plenty of bars to get a drink but you will stand in line and food is tough to get for an all inclusive vacation. Simply put on a scale of 1 to 10 it's probably really a 4 but since I was sold on a 8+.....well the relative value rating from me is a 1. I would not recommend this resort to an enemy. Last example: They told me I paid for the wrong package upon sign in and charged me an additional $135 a night with no other option. What was I going to do? Pack up and sit at the airport for six day's waiting to fly home to the United States?
