Hotel is across the street from the French Quarters.. Close enough to walk everywhere, far enough away from the noise at night. The room was clean. Maid service excellent. The restaurants were outstanding. The pool and workout area were empty. Both are very nice facilities. Only complaint- you have to pay for wifi. For a high end hotel, I was surprised this was not included.

My family and I stayed at The Roosevelt Dec 29-30. It was still decorated for Christmas and it was spectacular!! The room was a standard queen room, but it was very large. The linens were very nice and it was extremely clean!!! It even had a TV in the bathroom which my children loved. The bed was comfy! The valet was approx $40. It was very close to the Quarter and the Superdome. We walked the entire time. I will be back for sure!!

Great place.
09/19/2012It is far enough away from the french quarter for a quiet nights sleep but close enough to walk to and from all the fun new orleans offers.

Smaller rooms
08/09/2012I've been told the basic rooms at the roosevelt are smaller than most hotels. but with that in mind this hotel is exceptional.

Really enjoyed staying at the Roosevelt during a recent visit to New Orleans. The hotel is within walking distance of the French Quarter, but far enough away to be out of the madness. The hotel was EXTREMELY quiet. You didn't hear people in the hallways, or slamming doors. The only place we ever even saw other people was at the pool. Once we got back to our floor it was like we had the place to ourselves. Great rooftop pool area. The pastries at Teddy's are REALLY great. The decor is wonderful. Definitely recommend.
