Where do I begin??? We were there during the gay pride parade & a couple of conferences in town - anyway heard several staffers making gay slurs about guests. The ONLY ice machine - that's right - they have ONE ice machine is located in Santee (almost -it is so far away from all the rooms! The decor is cool but is only in the TINY lobby and on one wall in every room - the chairs, desk, dresser looks like they were bought in bulk from a cheap hotel. Even though the location is good the hotel is completely horrific!! Ok NOW THE REAL DIRT! - My husband had left for his conference and I ate breakfast in the restaurant which although it has a great view of the bay - ISN'T EVEN OPEN MOST OF THE DAY DURING THE WEEK!) noticed I forgot my room key and went to the lobby to get another - WELL ...they wouldn't let me in my room because I wasn't on the reservation!!! CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT!!! I almost called the police!! What jerks!!! Only after I ranted and raved did they consent to follow me to my room and find an ID to show them!! WE WERE TREATED HORRIBLY!!! DO NOT STAY AT THIS AWFUL HOTEL!!!!!!!!! BEWARE! BEWARE! BEWARE!! Oh the ONLY reason they get 1 star is for the valets! Awesome hard working knowledgeable people that bust their butts.
