Location has easy access to all the attractions of the city and several inexpensive eating places located nearby. The entire staff of this hotel gets a 10 rating from ABC at the front desk to XYZ at the bar. Rooms were clean and neat and staff was always helpful and polite. Tours can be booked at the front desk. An emphatic WELL DONE on this hotel for our entire stay with a party of 10 people. No question that we would rebook this hotel at a future date.

We booked into the sister hotel, Hotel Veneto, but were given a small but well appointed room in the Romanico Palace. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom modern. The staff spoke excellent English and were very professional and helpful. Rooftop breakfast buffet (free!) was very nice, with lots of different options. The hotel is located in a nice, quiet neighborhood not to far from the Metro at Piazza Barberini. It is a longe,r but not difficult walk to the Spanish Steps. And it's only a few blocks from several entrances to Villa Borghese, Rome's huge and beautiful park. We found the hotel to be very conveniently located, and managed to use only our feet and the Metro during our stay. We did elect to use a car service for our trips to and from Fiumicino Airport with our luggage. The hotel bar was a little pricey, but the cafe next door (Illendium) had excellent cappuccinos for about * euro each and extremely cheerful and friendly staff. Conveniently located across the street (and many others nearby) we found a Bancomat (ATM) that accepted our American debit cards and didn't charge exorbitant fees. We very much enjoyed our stay and would book again.

Stayed there on August 6-9, 2009 and when we booked there, they advertised that Breakfast in part of the Amenities but IT IS NOT!!!. There is no option to buy it on online travel website, so there can be a problem unless they fix this error. Also they are not that close to the Spanish Steps. It is a good hike from the hotel but not hard if you are in shape. Ray, Toronto Canada
