Everything was about average I had to tell them 3 times about our sink that was clogged. I would prefer to have my bathroom closer to the bedroom it was hard to have other family members in the living room area and get ready there was no privacy and there should not be a time limit on the laundry room because your busy from from 8 am to about 11 pm everyday at the parks and we didn't get to do our laundry til the day we left, the parking was not that great they really need more they have an underground area but it only parks about 20 cars and they don't have transportation to the parks you have to walk and its about a mile.

Portifino was absolutely perfect for what my family and I were looking for: a safe, clean, and affordable place to stay in walking distance to Disneyland. The staff was very friendly and helpful as this was our first trip to the area. Only downfall, no mini-fridge. We had to constantly run to 7-11 to get milk and other cold items we needed.

We thought about changing hotels several times throughout our trip. In the end, we didn't want to miss out on time at Disneyland to do so. The room was tolerable, however, there was a BO type funk/smell that got worse when the AC was on and our socks became dirty after walking across the carpet. The AC unit was very noisy, and the room went from hot and stuffy, to freezing. It was tolerable for the location and price, however, I would recommend checking out other hotels, some around the same price that offer breakfast as well.

Our stay at Portofino was just what we were looking for. We stayed in a kids suite because we have two kids, and also invited their Auntie and Grandma for a few days. The pull-out served our kids well while their Auntie and Grandma opted for the bunks to give their backs better support. The king sized bed was very comfortable for my husband and myself. Having free wi-fi was great. The front desk was always friendly and helpful, and the attached store is great for grabbing bottled water ($1 each or $6 for a 24-pack) if you don't want to run to a large grocery store. BTW - bottled water in Disneyland will run you $3-$4 a bottle. They also carry a lot of inexpensive memorablia and practical items, including Disney, though not official Disneyland items. The $12 Disney Princess for our daughter was a great deal, though, and she doesn't care whether the tag says Disney or Disneyland. :) We also picked up autograph books and pens for less than half the Disneyland prices. That's not to say there aren't some minor issues, though... The furnishings could definitely use updating... The storage areas were great, but the construction of them made the drawers a little clunky, and the style was lacking a professional finish, but the size of the room worked well, and room service did a great job of keeping it fresh and neat. The pool is nice and the seating area is very relaxing, but the hot-tub is very small - seats about 6. Even though the hotel is literally accross the street from California Adventures, it's still about a half mile from the entrance that takes you to the Disneyland gate, and it's a few blocks from there to the gate itself. That may sound like a good distance, but I suggest you make the walk. It *might* add about a mile and a half of walking (round trip from hotel to gate) to your day, but it'll save you about an hour between parking and/or shuttling, and *sometimes* the parking lot places you so far from their shuttle that the walk is just as far (or farther if you have to park in the Dowtown Disney lot - if this happens take the monorail from the parking lot if you've already purchased your tickets)! The DL shuttle might be a good alternative for you ($4 for adults, $1 for kids, $2 for seniors - all day pass), but it has many stops, so although it saves you some walking, it may add about 40-50 minutes overall. There was no breakfast at this hotel, so if you're planning to go to McDonald's be warned that it's twice as expensive at the Anaheim McDs than your typical local branch. There is no in-room safe, but they offer lock boxes at the front desk. Since we used cash for our trip we had to visit the front desk each morning to pick up our daily budget, but it was worth it for us to be able to keep track of our expenses. The only negetive I would say about to the set-up of the kid suite is that you're bascially surrounded by families with kids (and even babies), and the walls/floors seem pretty thin. So, if you're a lightish sleeper, plan to bring earplugs. Overall, this hotel worked out really well for us.

We had two rooms, each with a family of 4. The rooms where comfortable and very relaxing to come back to from walking and standing in line all day. The kids always looked forward to the heated pool. The staff where very helpful. The hotel as a whole is clean. I would recommend it to anyone.
