Important Hotel Information
- PLEASE NOTE-From May 6 thru December 8, 2013, Barcelo Maya Beach will be renovating some of the public areas of the property, including the hallway area between and toward the guest rooms, the lobby and main buffet restaurant. During this time, the Lobby Bar, Buffet Restaurant and Mexican a-la-cart restaurant will be closed. However, guests have available and are welcome to use all facilities of the adjoining Barcelo Maya Caribe property, including the Grill Restaurants and Theatre Bar (opens at 5PM). There may be some construction noise during this time.

Graeat place for a vacation. the staff was friendly and the facilities were top knotch. I went for a 7 day stay with some friends and my girlfriend. the beaches were clean and hotel grounds were exquisit and well manicured. The only drawbacks were the towels were a bit rough, but not an issue really, and the snack buffet didnt offer much of a variety on a daily basis, it was generally the same thing daily, but it was good. I would recommend this place to everyone. For the price, you cant beat what they offered! Also, internet was not free, 12 bucks a day, but that actually is a blessing in disguise, we stayed off our ipad and enjoyed the surroundings!

We took our 3 teenage children on a family vacation they would remember for the rest of their lives..... and it was! Barcelo Maya Beach All-Inclusive was a dream vacation for teens as well as adults! Everything was top notch. The food was good, the rooms were great, the beach was even better!!!! The staff and entertainment worked their tails off. I was so impressed! I will go again!!!

We went to Barcelo resort and had an excellent week. Everything was fantastic. We stayed in the Tropical hotel, one of 5 hotels in the coomplex The rooms were very clean and the grounds were constantly being groomed and the beaches are beautiful.Each hotel has beautiful lobbies, the hotels are interconnected by a short 1 minute walk under a lush covered walkway. The staff was very helpful, friendly, curteous and profesional. The food was delicious. We are a family with a 6 year old and a 14 year old and there are plenty of age appropriate activities for all kids and adults. A great family vacation spot, would go again and again, would recommend to anyone, single or with family.

We have stayed at several All-inclusives in mexico before with our 2 sons. This one is actually one of 4 hotels together, each one getting a little more fancy. WE stayed at the Maya beach and it was every bit as good as the higher priced ones. The reservation restaurants weren't anything special so we stuck to the buffets which were fabulous, breakfst, lunch and dinner. Quality and selection far above any other all-inclusive we ever had. I ate everything and never had one bit of digestion issuses the entire trip. If you want to try the restaurants and they are all booked, just walk up after the other people have been seated and if there is extra tables available, there is a good chance they will seat you. It was december and they dont heat the pools, so as expected, they were very cold. Any other time of year, swim up bars would have been awesome. The staff was very pleasant. Always had some sort of activity going, either on the beach or poolside. House cleaning was just ok. The hotel was very booked so I guess thats why they did not get to our room until very late in the day usually, and it didnt seem as though they did much but make the beds.I don't think they did the floors but maybe once, and we were out of washclothes for days at a time. Even though the hotel was booked up, you could still find chairs on the beach or by the pool relatively easy. Drinks were good, there was serve yourself n/a drinks for the kids in the lobby and huge selection of serve yourself tequila in the lobby and at the buffets for adults.And serve yourself bubbly at the buffets which I loved. They are a bit looser in Mexico, the drinking age is 18. The front desk upon checking in, offered to give our 16 yr old a adult wrist band, we said no of course. This is a larger property, it took a coulpe days to figure it out and not get lost, but you are on vacation, you have all the time you need to wander around and explore. There is a pier in the middle of the property, where hundreds of fish hang out and you can jump in and swim with. My son and husband snorkled every day. We had a great time, would definitly go back at a different time of year, when the days are longer and hotter and if we find a good deal.
