    I have been to las vegas about 7 times before this trip where i stayed at harrah's and i was impressed......i just did not like the view out ...

    I have been to Las Vegas about 7 times before this trip where I stayed at Harrah's and I was impressed......I just did not like the view out of my room, but it had a balcony in my part of the Mardi Gras tower so I could go out and smoke and relax if I wanted to. The check-in line was long.......but really it was not too long of await......I was just tired from a long flight....but thankfully they had my two reservations (rooms) in the computer and accessed them easily and the staff at the front desk are very friendly and very complete in their duties. The rooms are very clean in the Tower (Mardi Gras) where I had two runs. One for me and another for two other family members (elderly, mid sixties). They enjoyed the hotel as well. Over all Harrah's is a great hotel and a great bargain if you are looking for clean / central location as a base while you explore the Strip / Freemont Street / Hoover Dam or the West Rim of the Grand Canyon.......and this is coming from a guy that loved the Bellagio / Luxor / Paris and Monte Carlo. So you have my thoughts......Harrah's is a great bargain but not the Bellagio....it depends on what you want and why. Harrah's fit exactly what I needed and they were great. Thank you Harrah's.

    Upon checking in at 9:30 p.m., we were informed by the reservation staff that our room was not ready (not clean), and she could not tell us when ...

    Upon checking in at 9:30 p.m., we were informed by the reservation staff that our room was not ready (not clean), and she could not tell us when it would be ready. She said that "it could be ready in 10 minutes, or it could be ready in 2 hours". Totally unacceptable! We asked to speak to a manager, who was just as useless. They wound up putting us up in a different room for the first night (a suite), but had to pack everything up and move to our room the following day. I always thought the purpose of making a reservation was to guarantee a room ready for you upon arrival. Seriously, why wasn't our room clean by 9:30 at night?! Management offered no logical explanation, and should be on Dancing With the Stars, with the way she danced around our questions.
