The hotel room was excellent. Staff friendly. As an upper end hotel (5 Diamond), eating choices can get pricey. If you want to be close to shopping and cheaper food choices, recommend you stay different hotel, such as Westin Lagunamar (across street from a nice mall). Hotels in and around the Westin Lagunamar is good location. Will stay in that area if I ever go back to Cancun. Highly recommend a trip to Xel-Ha, Chichen Itza, and Xcaret. Cost is about $109 -139 each person, but worth it. Very memorable. Catching bus is very easy. Avoid taxis. Buses run ever few seconds (literally) and cost 8.50 Pesos (about .75 cents) and safe and reliable.

The hotel is quiet and clean. We had a room with ocean view on the 12 floor. There were some minor inperfections in the room. The bathroom had some wear in the sealing. The room doors were a bit worn. The bathroom floor was clean but I think that they need to do a better Job at cleaning the the Usealing and floor corners, a touch up would be nice. The light swithces and out lets need to be cleaned as well. As far as comodities go the spa is nice but expensive. They provide good service but it could be better. The beach is nice but the current was kind of strong and not recomended for children. We were there in October so I don't know if that makes a difference. The buffet is kind of expensive so make sure you get breakfast included with your reservation. The hotel is next to the hard rock hotel so I asume that it can get kind of loud in spring. If they take care of the minor details these could be a great hotel. I give it 6-7 out of 10.

This hotel was better than I expected. It is not an all inclusive hotel, but we were given a 50.00 USD credit for the four days of the stay. The hotel is on the bus line that makes travel very easy and cheap. The staff was very helpful and rembered your name. The beach was outstanding and I would stay at the JW again.

The Service was execllent The Staff was excellent The Fine Dining Restuarant was Excellent. The Buffet Breakfast was excellent The cost of Wireless seemed high compared to other Hotels that I have stayed at. I dont recall if there is any participation in the American Airlines Advantage Points system
