Went to ASP in April, husband wanted adults only. I would recommend this place for 2-3 nights. For the cost, there are much better choices. Pros: Everyone was helpful and friendly. Rooms were decent. Resort was very well maintained. Pools were nice, huge and clean. Cons: Food was average to below average (dependant on where you went). Lagoons were poor, dirty with what looked like old carpeting blown in from a hurricane, and very few interesting fish. Poor practically non-existnet night life, Shows second rate with the exeption of the Brazilian Drum dancers. Needed to take cab at $$ each way to Playa Del Carmen for fun.

I went here on my honeymoon and we absolutely loved it. We were eating Filet Mignon and Sushi by the end of the week after days out in the sun, by the pool. We thought the food was great, the room-service and pool-side service were awesome and the rooms were so nice. The staff was extremely friendly and always smiling. The evening entertainment was fun and you really could spend a week here without ever leaving the resort. We took the excursion to Tulum and enjoyed it, but it was really hot. If you do something liket that - wear a hat, bring a back pack with water and sun screen, and bring some comfortable shoes. Also, if you hold out on going to the time-share - some people were getting $ in spa credits just to attend. Overall, excellent - above and beyond expectations.

The front desk was very friendly. The make you feel welcome since the moment you step in the lobby. The different pools are big, so there is always space for everyone. The food and entairtament is great. They have diferent activities every day, so even if you dont leave the hotel, there is always something to do. I had a wonderful experience and recommended to anyone. Is safe and clean. No worries.

The service was great and staff were very friendly and eager to please. However, there is a language barrier and TIPS are often expected. The overall facility was clean. We did have a problem with small ants, as did 2 other couples traveling with us. They took over a carry on bag left on a dresser in the room. The bed is very firm, but the bedding and pillows were fabulous! Great ammenties, such as wireless internet, free phone calls to the US, mini bar with in room liquor dispensers, robes/slippers, quaility bathroom products. The food was "okay." Having stayed at other All Inclusive Resorts with great food, we were overall disappointed with the food. The pool areas are great. The beach area was very disappointing, as they really do not have a beach. You only have access to the coves, which are basically like another swimming pool. The only activities in the coves is snorkeling and kayaking. They require a life jacket when kayaking, which we were not sure why... given the water is only 4-5 feet deep and as calm as the pool. The resort did include several excursions. We did enjoy the Tulum tour of the Mayan Civilization. Our guide was very informed and did an amazing job of giving the history of the Mayan's. The snorkeling excursion was "TERRIBLE." The reef was dead, they crammed 120 people into a very small boat, required a life jacket the entire time, and food was also terrible. Entertainment was okay, we often found ourselves looking for something to do at night. Would suggest renting a car so you can go into Playa, Cancun, or visit other Palace Resorts which are included.
