Our family has stayed here a number of times in the spring and summer. It's easy to find and a great location to stay at while traveling with kiddos. The hotel is clean, our rooms have always been clean. They are your basic rooms and beds. The staff on every stay has always been kind and respectful. The parking fee is expected at hotels here in the village and at the Aava its less than many other places, that's a plus. They have lockers for your gear, ski or bikes. Great family restaurant across the parking lot! ( quiet, no bars nearby).

My husband and I went here for a lil getaway... What we thought would be a relaxing night turned into just a few off and on hours of sleep. Just when we were about to go to sleep, the person above us started stomping on the floor (not the hotels fault, so can't blame them), so it took us a bit to fall asleep. We finally fall asleep, then at 3am we both were jolted awake by what sounded like golf balls falling on the roof. Being very confused, I looked out the window... All I saw was rain, so apparently the gutter above our window was either broken or there just wasn't one. This went on the rest of the night, so we kept waking up. Another thing that was off-setting is we had to pay $20 a night for parking... Which once we got into the parking garage, it took us forever to find the East wing elevator! Nothing for the east one was labeled! Oh, and there was an odd stain on the sheets... I was ready to discuss my concerns with the front desk upon checkout, but the guy didn't even ask how our stay was! All he cared about was charging my card for the parking... Needless to say, we won't be staying there again!

The hotel was in a good location within walking distance to shops and food. The room was clean however, the bed wasn't very comfortable and we had trouble getting housekeeping to supply enough towels in the room. there were 4 of us, and only got 2-3 towels each night. My child was celebrating a big birthday there, and they were not helpful or accomodating in trying to leave something in the room as a surprise for him. The biggest CON of the trip was not realizing how expensive the food is here!!! I knew the area was somewhat expensive, but no idea it was THIS BAD. esp with 4 of us here. broke the bank even trying to eat small modest meals. Grocery store was high too. Overall, nice area though.

The hotel is very nice and located just across the road from Whistler Village. It is walking distance from the lifts. The staff is polite (aren't all Canadians?) and helpful. Even when I was waiting for my departure bus, one of them asked if i'd like a cup of coffee while i waited.
