Not only was this hotel beautiful but everything was first class including everyone working there. The pool has sand and a wave pool that gives you the feel of being at the ocean which is just what I needed on my getaway. The conference rooms were first class as well my overall experience with THE Hotel was fantastic.

Mandalay Bay is one of those higher end Vegas resorts that isn't as spectacular as the Bellogia or Wynn, but is up there as one of finest and largest on the strip. The resort is huge featuring an aquarium, convention center, indoor arena , shopping center, House of Blues with concert hall and a large gaming area. The pool area is perhaps the best in Vegas with a large wave pool, man-made beach, lazy river with waterfall, several pools including a top optional and private pool with cabanas. While the Mandalay Bay is just South of the main part of the strip, it offers a free tram rides to and from Excalibur and the Luxor as well as indoor shop-filled walkways that connect all three. Mandalay Bay is part of the larger MGM resorts family that features the likes of New York, New York, the MGM Grand, Mirage, Luxor, Excaliber and a few other large resorts on the strip. We did find a few negatives with the Mandalay Bay; specifically the wait times on the elevators was exceedingly long and sometimes they were too full and you had to wait for the next available one. The hotel features two sets of 8 elevator bays that service 17 floors, but with over a hundred rooms per a floor, there are a lot of people needing a ride up and down. The Mandalay Bay is also not a good choice for value seekers or those that want speedy access to all the resorts on the strip. But overall, this is one of the best resorts in Vegas.

The room was great, the staff was very friendly. But I really didn't appreciate the resort fees. We didn't use anything related to those charges. I really don't see a need for them. Your customers are paying a good amount of money to stay at your hotel, let alone be in Las Vegas. So I think those fees need to be dropped.

This was our first time staying at the Mandalay Bay hotel. Our jacuzzi suite was nice. Pretty spacious, and comfortable. The room was neat and clean. The pool was a lot of fun. I love the real sand. Very nice touch. The inner tubes that could be purchased, were a bit over priced. Other than that, it was a very nice hotel, and a pleasant stay.
