This place will nickel and dime you. The price you pay is the price you get. If your looking for a place to sleep then go for it. If you want a hotel that actually understands customer service don't stay here. The riff raff in and around this place look like they just got out of jail or detox or both. The buffet is Gross! The place is dirty and reeks of the '70's. That is the last decade this place was clean. The hotel staff is flat yout rude!! Oh and when you check out they sock a $* a night service charge for the, "Ameneites." There are no amentites. This place is awful, go some place else.

Overall I enjoyed my stay at the Riviera, The room was nice, the only thing it was missing was a microwave, the hotel had a really nice Casino, They had the dancing girls, and it was large and well lit, Plenty of stores, and Restaurants, the coffe shop has some excellent deals on food and the staek is well seasoned and inexpensive, The only complaint I have is with the room service, We ordered Breakfast for two, I had a steak and my husband had a omellette, they charged me a $* gratuity for 2 people, I ended up paying $* for the meal, The steak was undercooked and the potatoes we kind of burned, when we finished we placed the trays in the hallway neatly by the door and went out for the day, to our surprise when we returned later that night the dishes were still there, . I got a massage in the Hotel and it was more than i could ever ask for, they were friendly and they did an excellent job with the massage and the facial, It was Awesome, When I go back I would stay there again especially to get another massage...

The front desk service was a problem. We had reserved 3 rooms together. My wife had arrived in the afternoon but was not allowed to get all 3 rooms because the rooms were in my name. She had to ask for the manager to get into at least one room and was told the other 2 would be blocked until I got there. I got there at 1:00 a.m. and found 2 people working the desk with a line that took over an hour for me to get service. Then I found that they had "unblocked" the other 2 rooms. Again, I had to get the manager who gave me two "suite" rooms for the night and told me to come down at 10:00 in the morning to switch. I came down then and they told me the had rooms, but they were not on the same floor. Again I had to ask for the manager who found 2 rooms on the same floor and near my room. I had to come back after 12:00 to get in the rooms. I came back at 2:00 and only 1 room was ready and the desk clerk wanted to assign me another room on another floor. Again I had to get the manager to get the original room and promise that I would not need to come back at any special time to get in. I feel like I wasted hours for this. The rooms were nice. The casino was average and it had good variety of restaurants. Being at the north of the strip, you will spend a little extra in taxi fares to get around Vegas.

The Riveria is a old casino/hotel. With that said one needs to make allowances. Overall its clean, well kept but does show signs of age. The service was good and the English Pub on site was pleasent. I was there for an Archery competion. While there were over 2k people competing the Riveria did not seem overly crowded. I feel the resort offers a good deal for the money. I would suggest staying in one of the tower suites they offer rather than a regular room.
