Important Hotel Information

  • All guests booking a room must be at least 21 years old and provide a valid credit card at check-in. Children age 12 and over are charged as an adult. The hotel reserves the right to hold 100 per day on the guest credit card for incidentals upon check-in.

    Just came back from Vegas and stayed at the Hard Rock. Its dated but up beat. Lots of young people if you you like that. Long walk from the elevators from the rooms. Atmosphere was very hip and trendy. I would of liked a coffee pot in the room, but there is a Starbucks downstairs. The biggest down fall was the distance from the strip. Hotel offered a shuttle hourly but ends at 5pm. A cab ride is needed if you plan on staying on the strip for night time fun.

    The MGM Grand represents the first mega-hotel to hit the strip and what was once close to a luxury hotel has now settled for a great value option. You will not be blown over by the experience here but the hotel delivers on all of the basic expectations of a Vegas hotel.

    The only good thing at this hotel is the beds. First, the room we were given did not match the room description or the pictures that were posted on the website, not to mention it was filthy. After 45 minutes of being on hold on and off, we were switched to a new room with a better view. The next day, we came back from the pool and room next to us was smoking weed. As these were non-smoking rooms and we did not want our stuff to smell like that, we decided to call and complain. So, security guards came to OUR room. We were still in our swimsuits when they asked us to come in. After letting them in they made sexual comments toward us, made fun of us for calling about the smoke and asked us about the kind of "black people" we have in Wisconsin. Then they went to the room next to us and said, "Hey, the girls next door complained about you guys smoking". So, we went to the front desk to complain to a manager. We waited about 20 minutes for him to show up and then we were asked to write a statement and told there was nothing else he could do. We demanded another new room. The next room wasn't bad, but we could hear the hotel music at 8:30 AM when we were trying to sleep in. They also charge you a $*/day facility fee. Oh, and if you want internet be prepared to pay $* more dollars per day. To make things even better yet, they put a $*/day deposit/hold on your credit card. Also, I found that the pool bartender overcharged my card by $* on a $* bill. Please, stay somewhere else!

    The Hard Rock Hotel has high volume rock music playing in the Casino and all other public areas including at least some of the restaurants ,100% of the time. On Friday and Saturday NIghts I could hear the music in my 7th floor room over the casino. In the Sports betting area, they turn up the volume on the sports events (i.e. basketball games) to compete with the volume of the rock music. All of this is a little hard to take on a continuous basis and I am a lover of rock 'n roll music. It is especially annoying at breakfast in the Mr. Lucky's restaurant. I also noted that they only pay 6 to 5 for blackjack at the blackjack tables which seems low to me. Other than these minor complaints this is a very nice hotel and casino. The rooms are very nice and the dealers are friendly there.

    The atmosphere was vibrant. The gaming floor's circular landscape is a unique floor plan. It makes for finding your friends an easy task. Oh, the pools are not to be missed. A great choices for food and fun. A definite return stay is on the cards.
