    Everything was ok until moning when i found long black hair in bathtub. not a nice thing to find i covered the hair and took shower. i went to office ...

    Everything was ok until moning when I found long black hair in bathtub. Not a nice thing to find I covered the hair and took shower. I went to office to get coffee I had to ring bell for desk clerk she showed up in what looked like a bathrobe and barefoot.Not what I expected in a nice hotel in hotel circle San Diego. I told the clerk abut the hair, she seemed unconcerned and said she would tell housekeeping. She gave no appolgy.

    I saw the average rating of this hotel/motel and thought 'whoa, it's on the same par of customer satisfaction as some of the 3 and 4 star hotels ...

    I saw the average rating of this hotel/motel and thought 'whoa, it's on the same par of customer satisfaction as some of the 3 and 4 star hotels in San Diego' -- this is either because people have readjusted expectations for motels, or because this place really is that badass. It was def the former. We had a room with a kingbed, and although it was small, it was at least clean. The bedsheets and towels felt damp, but smelled clean. The cover bedsheet had a burn hole in it, but the bed was soft and comfortable. The bathroom was very, very small (I'm 5'2"" with petite build and after showering I couldn't change without touching the toilet, so I had to open the door!) The bathroom floor was sticky, but I guess that's why you don't walk around in such places without footwear. It also got VERY cold in the night, and the heater did not work at all. Staff were polite. Didn't have any problems with hot water. Overall, I'd say that this hotel served its purpose as a sleeping place close to the location we wanted, and the price was the best in the Hotel Circle area for the night we wanted. However, if you want a hotel that truly deserves a 3.9 rating, try elsewhere.

    I saw the average rating of this hotel/motel and thought 'whoa, it's on the same par of customer satisfaction as some of the 3 and 4 star hotels in San Diego' -- this is either because people have readjusted expectations for motels, or because this place really is that badass.     We have 2 small children and we stayed a week. I am not sure if we would go back again. We are not picky people but we would probably spend the extra money on a different hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful. But the trip was good and it was comfortable and clean.
