From the moment we walked in the door at 10:30am the staff was welcoming and helpful. They told us our room would be ready in an hour even though we knew check in is usually 3pm. We had just stopped by to find the hotel, let them know we were here and to ask where would be a good place for us to go and get some good food nearby as this was our first time in Charleston. They suggested an amazing little cafe about 2 miles up the road and it was everything I hoped for and more. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the room was clean as a whistle and so comfortable! We will definitely be returning sooner rather than later! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone that is looking - it is close to everything, shopping, great restaurants and the beach! You won't go wrong staying here! Enjoy! We travel to Charleston annually and prefer to stay in Mount Pleasant because it's less crowded and a very nice area. I booked this hotel because of it's proximity to restaurants and shopping, though it turned out to be a little further from Charleston than I had envisioned. Overall the hotel was great. The room was nice, though a little small for a family of 4. Great breakfast, but there were not nearly enough tables & chairs for guests to use. We had to wait for a place to sit. The hotel is perfect for those wanting to go to the beach at Isle of Palms without paying Isle prices! Would stay again.

I recently stayed at the Hampton Inn Suites Mt Pleasent as we traveled for my wife's birthday. We had selected to go with a suite. having a three year old with us, so that we would have the "full" kitchenette and two televisions. Well, the room had one television, no eating or cooking utinsiles, and had water stains and mold near the ceiling in our room. The room itself was not "clean" feeling as almost every Hampton Inn has been.

Everything in the hotel was clean and neat. The staff was adequately friendly but didn't overdo it. The beds were awesome!! The a/c in the room was a little iffy, it worked but the noise made you wonder how long, but a ceiling fan in the bedroom made the room pleasant. The breakfast is much more than a bagel and cereal and was a nice plus. The Isle of Palms location seemed like it was just a few minutes away from wherever we were going in Charleston. Pack a travel size laundry detergent and you are set with the free washer/dryers (2 each). There was a shortage of baggage carts but I guess we were there at a busy check-in time. Definitely get the 2 queen suite. The extra tv and the separate bedroom made having kids on the trip manageable. We stayed 2 nights and would love to have the queen bed we slept on at the hotel in our home. They are super comfy. The rooms do not offer a safe in the room so you have to leave your valuables in one of the few counter safes which I didn't care for. A safe in the room would be a big plus. There is also a side door that is supposed to be locked at all times with a faulty lock that allows anyone access to the hotel.
