Great place to stay!
08/02/2012This hotel was very nice and the service was exceptional. the beach and the snorkeling was outstanding. we saw tons of fish and a couple giant sea turtles.

Before even getting to the hotel I upgraded my room to an "Ocean View" as they stuck me with a view out back. I was told by the man I talked to at the front desk to upgrade for a price, then ask for a free upgrade when I arrived. We were greeted somewhat coldly at the front desk and when I asked for an upgrade, they moved me up one floor.. oh well. Once in our room I was really disapointed in the quality, apperance and confort of the room and bed. I have been in places much much nicer for half the price. Deciding to have some lucnh we went to a poolside bar. For a small pizza, flairly bland fish tacos, 1 coke and 1 water the bill was over $40.00. If you wanted a beer $7.00 and a drink is $11.00. ( Not to mention the so called happy hour where they will tack on an extra 1.06 per drink for a TIP) So much for eating and drinking at the hotel. Everything costs A LOT of money here. If you want to print out your boarding passes it is $1.00 per sheet. The only advantage of this place is Black Rock, but next time I will stay down the beach and walk a few hundred yads as it is a public beach.The valet parking was somewhat helpful but always joking about a dollar or two tip on top of the daily charge after 1 free night. I had called a few times 15 to 20 minutes early to have my car brought up, but it was never there waiting for us. It was always in a "line" and would be there soon even after being told it was up front and ready by the front desk. If you are rich and money is no object then I guess you might want to stay here once for Black Rock out front, after that there are better places to stay than this.

Everything at the Sheraton is very clean and well maintained. The staff goes out of their way to assist you.Everything you need is right there at the hotel.You can also walk to the shops and restaurants at whalers village.The pool is very nice and has two poolside bars where you can have lunch or snacks.This was my second time there and will definetly go back.
