    We go to Vegas every year and usually stay on the strip. My sister stayed at the Golden Nugget recently and had good things to say about it. We booked 4 days there and enjoyed it so much I don't see us staying on the strip again. Golden Nugget and Fremont street is exsactly the "Vegas" we were looking for! The restaurants and buffet were top notch. Good food and reasonably priced. The Casino was very entertaining and comfortable.I can't say enough about the pool area with the aquarium and fire pits. Very nice! Con: Gambled there 3 days with players card and Couldn't even get a buffet. = Stingy on Comps. Overall a good experience and I would recommend!

    My husband and I have been to Vegas many times and have stayed on the Strip and Downtown, but we've found that the Fremont/Downtown area is much more to our liking--we win more in the casinos, we like the feel of the history of Vegas, and we can get to the Strip if we want to. We usually don't bother. Our most recent stay was at the Golden Nugget in the Gold Tower. We got a great deal on a 17th floor room with VIP access and benefits, and we loved everything about it. The lobby is luxurious with Chihuly-designed glass, the decor is updated and lovely, and our room was splendid. The bed was FANTASTIC. We had only one complaint--that the house staff didn't replace the lotion/conditioner, but that was really no biggie. The swell feeling from the hotel must have stuck with us downstairs, too, because when I signed up for the Players' Club I won some cash right away. I honestly don't get why people stay on the Strip when the Downtown area is really where the winning happens. We loved the Golden Nugget--it's by far the best place we've stayed in Vegas.

    I enjoyed staying at this hotel overall! i was not impressed that you had to pay for coffee in your room and thought $10 was a bit much! it seems ...

    I enjoyed staying at this Hotel overall! I was not impressed that you had to pay for coffee in your room and thought $10 was a bit much! It seems they wanted to charge for every little thing! SPA was very nice and I will return!

    Visit was during very busy time. many national groups in town however the staff remained cheery and helpful. never did we feel rushed or uncomfortable. would return and will reccomend ...
