we have stayed at golden nugget before, everything is great, clean and friendly , with rates lower than past 5 years, also new tower,. finals rodeo was going on, very crowded, but fast service, the bed is just about the most comfortable ,i have ever slept in, food at buffet was very good,coupon book was a plus , we liked it so much we are staying there again in june.

This was my first stay in downtown Vegas. I doubt I'll ever stay on the strip again. The Nugget itself is fantastic, all the table games and slots everywhere. The pool and shark tank are super, I plan on going back in warmer weahter to try out that slide. To top it off, you can walk out into Freemont street which is covered by a giant awning and be in the middle of a party with thel light shows and music.

We went down for a quick weekend away. The room was a long ways from the front desk, but the view of the strip was well worth the walk. The rooms were quiet and very clean. As you don't spend too much time in your rooms in Vegas, this was just the right combo between comfort and style. Definitely be back. Plus the cowboys that were staying here made it a lot of fun.

The Golden Nugget is rated a four star hotel, and they do live up to this rating. We stayed in the Rush Tower, this is not the newest one, but we felt it was a great room. Being able to watch the Fremont Street Experience and walk right up to our room if we were tired was a plus. The only thing that would make this more enticing is if the downtown casinos went together to have a shuttle from the airport. Otherwise it is a great value, and I would recommend this to a friend.
