    I used this hotel during my campaign for congress. I had little money so being able to get a good value and a convenient location in order to meet people. On the downside, the internet is costly. Because of that I stayed at Nellis AFB when I could.

    As a first time Vegas visitor, I was not sure what to expect. I found the Golden Nugget was a great place for a novice Vegas vacationer. The hotel was very large, but easy to maneuver. There were enough elevators so there was never a wait to get on them. The services we used were all fine. Our room was one that had not been renovated, and so some of it was a little dated, but definitely NOT worn out or old looking. The renovated rooms had flat screen TVs and new wall covering, draperies, bedspreads, and perhaps carpeting and so were a little nicer, but again, I wouldn't say ours was a big step down from those rooms, maybe a half step. The heat/AC control was easy to use and the system worked well. It made it easy to adjust it to my constantly changing needs! The water pressure in the shower was good, not like the weak drizzle I have found in other hotels. The pool area was fun to see with the enclosed shark pool in the middle. (This was shown on a recent CSI episode) The casino was a good one, with excellent service, and the best part of all was that it opened up to Fremont Street and all that Fremont Street has to offer. It was easy to get out of the parking garage to explore other parts of Vegas and the surrounding area. I would stay at the Golden Nugget any time. I think this area has a lot to offer any one visiting Vegas for the first or tenth time.

    To sum up my stay at the Golden Nugget. . . . THE BEST EXPERIENCE I HAVE EVER HAD. It wasn't to noisey, the beds were very comfortable, the staff was extremely polite, the food was great. Just overall, I will come back and stay with you. Thank you for a fantastic stay!

    We stayed in the Rush Tower and the rooms were really nice. The room was modern and was very high end, for downtown especially. We used the pool and ate at several of their in house establishments. We found the fish tak in the bar and the shark tank in the pool amaizing. We chacked in really late to to out flight being delayed, the players club was closed so they had the pit boss make us player cards. A few minow draw backs, no refrigerator in the rooms and the waitresses were slow to come by in the casino.

    I asked for two double beds and a non-smoking room and was told that they would make a note of my request but could not guarantee it unless i paid them more money to be considered a "preferred guest". I was stressed out until I got to LV and we got the accommodations we needed. I don't know why we couldn't be assured upfront that they could either give us what we needed or not. With service like this, i'm not inclined to travel to LV very often.
