The hotel is what you would expect of a hiton hotel. The parking will be steep, as with most of the city's parking options. We tried to do street parking, but you have to watch your back. The next block over has some shady people hanging around & it smell like urine.

The bellhops and conceirge were rude. As an example, when I asked where I could get change for a parking meter, I was told by a bellhop at the bell desk, "You can't get it here. Go stand in that line," pointing to the check-in line." I asked, "The long line over there?" His response was, "I don't see another, do you?" A breakfast for one adult and a child in the hotel cafe totaled $72. It was unbelieveable. The hotel is also on the edge of the Tenderloin. If you walk a block in the wrong direction, you will be in SF's "Bowery."

Felt posh as we entered the lobby - but also a little large and impersonal. Significant lines for registration and other help. Room was VERY comfortable, more roomy that expected, with large desk and seating such that it was easier to eat in room than usual. Two dble beds AND sofa bed, so accommodated us without a cot, but the sofa bed was of typical sofa-bed comfort level and they did not have a rollaway for us to pay extra. Some hotels in this price range have wonderfully comfortable "cots" that are twin size but full-thickness, non-folding mattresses that tip up on end to roll around; this hotel did not. But the double beds exceeded expectations with luxurious comfort. Our main complaint: you had to pay extra for wifi in the room. Free wifi was downstairs in the lobby which was spacious but chilly and sometimes busy with a large, seated, typing, crowd. There was always enough seating, but you were in a hub-bub and could not spread work around, and had no privacy. MUCH nicer workout facility than I've found in any other hotel I've stayed in, although I don't always check because I've been disappointed so often. Lots of equipment, and someone there to offer you a towel and wipe down the machine after you! VERY convenient location. Go to visitor center at Powell and Market FIRST THING and get a muni pass, which works on the cable cars as well as all buses and electric streetcars within city limits. Also, walk to Lori's Diner and try a banana milkshake. Get instructions for self-guided walking tours in neighborhoods - Alamo, Chinatown, etc. Value for money? We did not have any special deal, and it felt like a lot, but they were accommodating with our special circumstances around (very young adult) children checking in before I got there, and the room was high quality.

Right in the heart of San Francisco, convenient walk to Union Square, shopping, etc. Got a great price for the room but parking was exorbitant, as was the cost of breakfast, and no free internet. Beautiful lobby, room was a bit small but nice. Very large hotel - if you are parking your car and not staying in tower 3, you will have a long walk.
