    I was not told when I booked the room that parking at the hotel would cost a fortune. I parked my car in the hotel parking garage for not even close to 24 hours and it cost over $50.00. Before check out time house keeping and a man that wanted to check the bar knocked on the door starting at 10:30. They came to the door atleast 4 times before the noon check out time. Room was nice. Everything else sucked.

    I would have given the hotel an excellent rating, except that there was confusion with the staff regarding my friends arriving early and they would not let them check in, even though I had spoken with the hotel staff previously and had made the arrangements. This was made more difficult because my friends had their dogs with them. Otherwise the staff was professional and courteous and they did finally allow my friends to check in. And they are pet friendly.

    This Hilton is in an excellent location! The staff was very friendly and the rooms very comfortable. Short walk to Union Square, trains, trolleys and bus! Friendly staff and very knowledgeable concierge. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

    My friend and I actually switched to this hotel because a previous hotel felt unsafe. When we arrived here, we noticed a marked improvement. The lobby was festive, the surroundings felt safe and so many things to do within walking distance. I am actually planning to return with my family to this same hotel.

    One would think that when you pay enough to stay at the Hilton Hotel that it might come with some amenities. Sadly, this is not the case. Internet connection (I couldn't even believe this one in a "techie" city like San Francisco), extra $*/day. Parking, forget about it, extra $*/day. Fitness facility, extra $*/day. They don't even provide a complimentary newspaper for your room in the morning. I've been to cheap Holiday Inns or Quality Inns out in the Hinterland that provide these things complimentary. I don't think the extra expense of the Hilton is worth the cost for what you really get for it.
