My husband and I wanted a convenient downtown hotel to visit family and enjoy the city. Everything was just what we needed. The staff were friendly and professional, the room was immaculate and you can't beat the location.

Very large hotel, lobby nearly recreates feeling of old grand hotels. Rooms are great; restaurant (only had breakfast) is excellent; staff is top-flight. Location is convenient. The only caution is if you go for a walk and exit the front door and turn left, within 3 blocks you are in a questionable neighborhood. Turning right, however, puts you in the heart of an upscale shopping and office district. Really an enjoyable stay.

The Hilton Union Square is located in the perfect spot that makes it convenient to everything that you will want to do in San Francisco. Union Square, shopping centers and great restaurants are all within easy walking distance. The area is safe and also only a block or two from San Francisco's famous cable cars, Market Street, subways and also in the heart of the Downtown Theater District. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. My room was on the smaller side, but nicely updated and very comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again and congratulate the Hilton for making my stay in SF such a very pleasant one.
