    The best thing about this hotel was the location. it was close to shops. Other than that I did not feel like I was a welcomed guest there. The staff was not all that helpful and most of the time acted like you were a bother. The room was OK but not the quality of other Hilton or Hilton Brand I have stayed in the past. The room was clean and the hallways were clean enough. There were way too many people and just not enough space.

    Very nice, clean and comfortable hotel with a fabulous location!! right in the heart of union square--close proximity to muni bus system and bart which was important to me.

    i had fun, and relaxed and did a lot of shopping. One of the best things about this location of hotel is that its right in the middle of EVERYTHING. So if you want to be away from the city, i wouldn't recommend it here, other wise its perfect. I will come back again. the only thing that was bothersome was the bathroom doors. They aren't necessarily doors. they look like closet doors, ha anyway i would rather have a sturdy door knob and actual doors.

    My overall impressions of this hotel is that they are on the decline. We arrived after 1 PM on a Saturday (not your primetime for check in) and was told we needed to wait until 3 PM. After stowing our luggage (convient and pleasent) we left and returned at around 3:30. There was a line of over 50 people waiting to check in. Their system was down and they had to check in everyone manually. Knowing they had a problem, they still only had four people doing check in. Totally unaccepteable (they knew they had a problem for over 3 hours--enough time to add more reservation help.) The room was sub-par. Pealing paint in both the room and bathroom was unpleasent. The room was very dated (compared to other hotels in the area). Upon leaving I tried to print a airplane boarding pass. The system was so slow that after 30 minutes (on two machines) I gave up and left. To top off the frustrating experience, I returned to try one more time to print a boarding pass and found the machine out of paper. When asked to help, the concierge was unresponsive. I left and handled every thing at the airport. Totally unacceptable customer service and a disappointment in quality ensures that I will not reommend this hotel to anyone and I will not be returning during my next visit to San Francisco.

    This is my 4th stay here and it is great every time. From the Starbucks in the lobby to the accommodating staff and no fee late check out times, I love it. Rooms are very clean and comfortable. The only drawbacks I have found are; Expensive Wifi in the rooms, short staff at registration during peak hours, street side rooms are noisy (sirens,etc.), no refer in the room for leftovers or drinks and the public areas seem dated. All things considered though, I enjoy my stay here each time and look forward to the next. :-)
