Hotel Carlton is a great boutique hotel with a Middle Eastern flair. I had no idea what to expect since it was my first time ever going to San Francisco. The room was comfortable, clean, and had great style. The restaurant, Saha, was the best part! Eggs benedict with fava bean cakes and avocado was a unique dish I have yet to see anywhere else. I would definitely stay here again!

I was blown away by the friendly, helpful staff at Hotel Carlton. I loved the historic building and quaint, European feeling of the hotel. The bed was comfortable, the bathroom, while small, was very well lit (important for make-up application!), and there was a great walk-in closet that I wish I had at home! Also included was a safe for valuables. A mini fridge was delivered upon our request.

The " however " part of this review is unfortunately the noise inherent in this hotel! The wall had a locked door ( shared ) to the next room with a one inch gap under it and all the noise from neighbors passes through with zero sound proofing!! also entry door one could nearly stick their hand under the gap at bottom it was so big- again all passers by very noisy!!!! Too bad because the hotel is a charm and staff VERY nice.
