We loved the hotel. It is small buy cozy and very clean. The service was awasome, 5 stars service...close to transportation. If you have any doubt just ask anyone in the front desk...they will always help you. There are nice and cheap restaurants near by to get breakfast or grab something to eat at night. An excellent option.

This is an older hotel, but has been kept up nicely. VERY clean and comfortable rooms. It's a ""green"" hotel, so no vending machines. Only an icemaker on the first floor. Staff is very helpful and friendly. Food in the restaurant is excellent. A bit noisy, since it's a downtown hotel, so if you're looking for a deathly quiet hotel, this isn't for you. But, I would absolutely recommend it for the average traveler. Well located... you can catch a cable car or trolley only a couple of blocks away. We traveled to fisherman's wharf and chinatown with ease. Shuttle to/from the airport was approximately $15 each person/each way. Again, it's not the quietest hotel. Insulation between rooms isn't great. But frankly, it was worth the stay and was an excellent value for the money. Couldn't say enough about the staff. Two of the reception team spoke several languages and were VERY helpful and considerate! It's older, but has new paint, clean bathrooms and rooms. Staff obviously take pride in the hotel. Lobby was quite comfortable and inviting. Nice fireplace and couches to lounge and just relax. Food in the restaurant was very good, and the wait-staff were VERY nice and attentive. Prices were not bad at all. I would definitely stay again.

The hotel staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The location was good, close to buses to get around. The hotel was clean and reminded us of typical European accommadations, although we found the room larger than European rooms. They offer a free happy hour if you around at that time. The only negative we found was that our room faced the back of the hotel which was good for tne street noise level except there was a Fire Station there. When the trucks left it could be noisy at night when you're trying to sleep.
