The rooms were clean and comfortable. The hotel's location was central to everything, including a small shopping mall right in front. However, it was still approachable by car while remaining outside of the high traffic areas around the city. My favorite were the fireplace pits at the entrance of the hotel which kept us warm while enjoying evening cocktails and eats. Great way to meet/greet other hotel guests and trade travel stories and experiences.

  • Overlook this out dated hotel

When I travel my hotel of choice has been Sheraton. Until after staying at the Sheraton Fisherman Wharf. This outdated hotel was definitely overpriced. Our room looked like it was decorated in the 70's. Trying to relax at night was impossible because like most rooms there overlook the street which was so loud. The Sheraton did not have a who lot to offer. A pool that was average, a little snack bar that was ok, a $22 breakfast buffet which was awful, and the only good part was the outdoor fire places. They say it's newly renovated, but I couldn't tell. After 2 nights we walked around the corner to the Hyatt which was a honeymoon suite compared to the Sheraton.

We had two rooms by each other with total of five family members. The hotel is very nice..clean..pretty. We were able to walk to many places along the strand [beachfront which goes all the way up the coast, which was very beautiful!] but we had to drive when we went to santa monica pier and venice beach, just too far to walk. The only things i did not like were that i wish the rooms were bigger!! But like i said, still very nice! MY one BIG complaint was that they charged alot for a cup of coffee..and the little coffee makers in the rooms were wirthless!!!!! It is amazing that my review would be 10/10 if only they would have free coffee in the lobby....just the little things mean sooo much!!

  • Comfortable rooms at reasonable rates, but no wi-fi.

Perfect location near Fisherman's Wharf. Front desk clerk was helpful in getting our room changed from 1st floor to 3rd. Room was comfortable, though there was no wi-fi. Wi-fi was supposedly available in lobby area, but didn't work in two attempts to use it. A tech guy tried to resolve the problem but was unsuccessful. Great firepit outside -- nice in S.F.'s climate. Parking was too expensive.
