Very impressive place overall! We did have to wait about 45 minutes in line in check in. Our room was decent, except for the old clunker of a TV with scads of wires poking out of the back of the entertainment center. Oh yeah, and one of the phones didn’t work. We were in the Roman Tower, and had a lovely view of part of the Flamingo. Unfortunately that view also included the ugly roof of the casino area below us with its many air-conditioners. We didn’t get very good channels on our TV, unless you like Japanese television (there are 3 of those channels). We figured out the reason why after noticing that Japanese tourists were the major clientele (at least while we were there). Actually I didn’t see many Americans, which probably isn’t a bad thing. I enjoyed seeing so much diversity. They want to charge you $15 dollars per day to use their wifi, which is hilarious. Don’t get too excited about eating at the buffet in the hotel. You will be bummed when you see that the line is 60 people deep. Everything to eat is pretty darn expensive anywhere you go within the hotel. A bottle of soda is $2.25! Highway robbery! I enjoyed the hotel overall. It is fabulously tacky, and you just can’t beat the people watching!

Staff were very friendly & helpful in providing directions in this large hotel. ThePalace Tower room was tastefully decorated & overlooked the pool complex. The 2 baths was an added bonus. Housekeeping staff were marvelous. We slept well in the comfortable bed. The hotel has a large shopping area & nice variety of restaurants. The restaurant reservation service is extremely helpful. You do not hear your neighbors or any hall noise. Have stayed here before & would definitely stay again.
