I would recommend the Peppermill to those planning on staying in Reno. The only downsides: Not on the strip for casino hopping and room service food was terrible. Otherwise, very nice.

Nice room, good bed, did not smell smoky. Only complaint was if you didn't have the air/fan on, you'd hear the recycling process at night if you were on that side of the north wing. Fan took care of this complaint. Overall would highly recommend.

NOT A 4 DIAMOND RESORT

DO NO STAY IN THE NORTH TOWER - TINY ROOMS, PAPER THIN TOWELS, TERRIBLE LIGHTING UNLESS YOU LIKE TO READ IN THE BATHROOM - YOU HAVE YOUR CHOICE OF A STUFFY ROOM OR AN A/C-HEATER THAT SOUNDS LIKE A CEMENT TRUCK ROARING DOWN THE HIGHWAY - DO YOUR SELF A FAVOR AND STAY SOMEWHERE ELSE - DEFINITELY NOT A 4 DIAMOND RESORT. MY ROOM HAD CRACK TILE IN THE BATH AND A DISGUSTING RUSTED SHOWER ROD. OH, AND NO HELP WHEN YOU COMPLAIN OTHER THAN "SORRY ABOUT THAT".

I've never been to the Peppermill but will definitely be back now that i've stayed there. We had the spa suite and it was really nice. The shower had a sauna, hot tub actually faced the tv. The downside was that we had to clean the tub ourselves prior to using. although it's probably a good idea to do that in general.
