Granted that it was Memorial Day weekend, this place was like a dorm party. It was not out of control but because of that fact there was screaming and talking going on all night. This would not normally be a huge problem but the walls are paper thin so everything waws heard. The AC worked great but made no noise to help cover up the talking so we had to use the alarm's sound maker in order to get some sleep. The only problem is that the sound maker turned off every hour or so. It is a great place for a younger crowd. Not family friendly.

PCI lives up to its reputation as a throwback resort with modern service.

St. Pete Beach has plenty of modern surfside resorts that offer a relaxing vacation along Tampa Bay. Postcard Inn on the Beach uses a retro approach to accomplish its goals for its guests. PCI is a former roadside-inn motel that received a deluxe makeover. The surfer theme takes hold from the moment guests enter the spacious lobby until they reach the wood-plank beach bar and snack shack at the edge of the beach. In between, there's a restaurant, lounge spaces, a grassy courtyard and a large swimming pool with plenty of lounge chairs for sun-worshippers. Upbeat music plays throughout the day and into the evening. My wife and I enjoyed ourselves a great deal at PCI. We booked a cabana room next to the pool, a great choice for couples wanting to relax near some water. Rooms feature 2-tone paint jobs, surfing photos & 1960s style decor. Our only complaint was with the bed. It's comfortable but our bed was queen size - not the king-size that was advertised. Unlike other reviewers, we have no complaint with the bathroom. The restaurant, Beachwood BBQ, was as good as advertised, serving high-quality meals. Its appeard to get customers from outside PCI, an indication of a good reputation. The skillet-baked cornbread makes a good appitizer before a meal of pulled pork or ribs. The beach bar is well-equipped to serve up frozen drinks and cold beer on hot days. The furnishings invite guests to kick back and soak in their surroundings. There's a firepit surrounded by beach chairs, some Cali-style seating on an outdoor deck, a long couch-and-tables setup near the front desk, & a huge, circular sofa near the back door. This thing could seat 20 people with plenty of comfort. They can gaze up at the Tiffany-style lamps hanging above. Postcard Inn is proof that developers don't have to start from scratch to create a relaxing atmosphere for couples and families. We will go back and suggest PCI to our friends.

Had a little difficulty checking in. Arrived early, around 12pm, they said they would send housekeeping up to our rooms immediately and call us when the two rooms were ready. They never called, so we checked back around 3pm. They told us check-in was not until 4pm. 4pm arrived and we were still unable to check in. This kind of defeated the point of taking an early flight so we could enjoy the day. Regardless, after finally settling in, the rooms were beautiful! The hotel grounds were gorgeous, and right on the beach. The staff could not have been more friendly. The beach bar is a lot of fun! Great place to sit down and have a drink watching the sunset. Rooms do not have hairdryers, you must request one from the desk. They do have mini-fridges, which the front desk told us they did not, but they are really small. The AC is controlled by maintenance, so the room temperatures were not always great considering it was 85 degrees outside. The walls are also a little thin. Also, we were told coffee was available all day. This was not the case. It was $2.50 a cup, and only refills til 10am. All-in-all, it was a great place! We will definitely consider staying there again! What seemed like minor inconveniences were really not that bad once we made some adjustments. We loved the staff and loved the location!

Great hotel, you get the old school feel of a Motel with modern room and great decorations. The weather was great but not warm enough for wimming in the Gulf at 60 degrees. The hotel pool was heated to probably 85 making it great for the kids and Mom and Dad to swim. Tiki hut bar and snack stand were great. This hotel would be alot of fun for a wedding or family reunion party. Very reasonable room rate.

The hotel is rather old and not high class by default, but it is very special, staff is great, it's right on the beach, and the pool and barbeque area is the best. It all make you feel very comfortable.
