    The hotel grounds were AMAZING. The resort is on the "windy" side of the island, which is a great contrast to the sweltering 100 degree desert heat of Wailaia! The resort is so secluded and private, while all the others we have been to on Maui are crowded and the beach and pool chairs are inches away from each other, but not at the Ritz...you pay for the comfort and seclusion...and of course the PRIVATE BEACH. The breakfast buffet was a little disappointing, but the hotel rooms were spotless each day we came back. The maid service even organized everything from bathroom items to our clothes each day, it was amazing coming back to a spotless room. The spa was also AMAZING Leah gave the best facial I have ever had in my life and I have had lots :) Would definitely recommend staying here and using the cab service owned by Mai and Tay that contract with the Ritz...each day they were on time, friendly and even stopped by a Walgreens for me to pick up more water free of charge!! ( one day they even kept the car seat all day so we could sightsee without it) The Ritz is top quality and a vacation in Paradise!

    Ritz carlton in kapalua is our favorite resort in maui. great for family with or without kids. the amenities and the views cannot be beaten.

    The hotel was fabulous. The view from our balcony was exquisite, overlooking the pools, grounds, and the ocean down below. Our favorite spot was the double-chase lounges at the beach bar area. It was gorgeous, just a few feet away from the private beach, and few people seemed to know about them. Euforia. The walk down there was a bit of a distance and down a fairly steep incline, so the hotel had a golf cart that took people up and down from the pool area to the beach on a regular basis. Only disappointment was that the Banyon Tree restaurant was closed for renovation, and the hotel didn't open the sushi restaurant for any extra days or hours to compensate. We could still get in-room dining and lobby lounge food, but it wasn't the same. Fortunately, the hotel had a shuttle, and they took us to a nice restaurant nearby and picked us up when we were finished. Also terrifically convenient was a little store within walking distance from the hotel that sold everything from wine, cheese, salads, and fruit to gifts, apparel, and toiletries. We stopped in there almost daily.
