It was basically the same hotel from the movie no vacancy. It was moldy, smelled like the dead body of a heavy smoker, but it was cheap. It's a nice hotel if you are into the whole getting molested and murdered scene, or if you want to die of mold poisoning. But other than the signs that say "we are not responsible for stolen goods" and the construction it is adequate.

07/20/2012The hotel smells, had mold, had spiders, roaches, and crickets. very dirty and very nasty. i would not let my dog stay there.

When I got to the room, the clerk did call and ask if my room was ok. I mentioned that I had constant dribbling water from the bathtub faucet. She did ask if I wanted another room, I declined at that time. Later that evening I found out that the bathroom sink was very slow draining and I had roaches in the room. The continental breakfast was poor to say the least, and the only place for WIFI was in the lobby. Doors were propped open day and night so I didn't feel secure in the hotel at all. I would not stay here again.

Between the stains on the wall, the white substance smeared across the window, the clogged sink and security doors that did not lock I was not satisfied one bit. I will not recommend this hotel to another person and will not visit them again. I hope all Howard Johnson's are not this horrible.

First of all, be aware that the hotel is now known as St. Michael's...because that detail was not divulged on the website I had to take 3 trips around the loop before calling and getting that info. Nice lobby, great staff...but honestly, the room was below average with really hard beds and holes in the carpet. My room was clean, though.
