The Pousada de Angra do Hero?smo - Forte de Sao Sebastiao, is installed in a fortress of 16th century - known as well as ?Castelinho de Sao Sebastiao? (Saint Sebastian's Little Castle) - constructed after the demand of King D.Sebastiao, whose name was given to the castle in a supercillious place -the Pipas Port. The castle is surrounded by high walls, but some parts are nowadays in ruins. Eventhough, it still preserves its most characteristic elements. The Pousada is located in the village center of Angra do Hero?smo that, in 1983, was classified World Heritage by UNESCO.
