Lots of choices in the Latin Quarter, skip this hotel

The hotel was OK. Good location, friendly staff, basic room, very basic TV, VERY small window. As I was early for check-in they said that they would call me when my room was ready, they never did. The bellman was probably the best of the bunch, very helpful and friendly. If you need a taxi, it is best to either flag one down yourself or let the bellman flag one down for you, when the desk calls for one, they take a long time to come and the cabs were older and in poor condition. I ate breakfast one day at the restaurant and it was terrible. Long wait, cold food, waitresses who do not refill your coffee and do not bring items that you ask for. The thing that stood out the most for me though was the fact that when I checked in, the city was having a water problem. The hotel staff DID NOT tell me that i could not drink the water, nor did they supply us with water. As there are a lot of hotels in the area, I would look elsewhere on my next trip.

This was our second time staying here. I loved it the first time, this time I thought the hotel wasn't as clean as before and the staff didn't seem very happy. But, overall it is okay and I would stay there again.

My two daughters and I stayed here over the summer. ( yes, it takes me a while to write a review!) We totally loved the location! It is safe to leave at anytime and walk all around the beautiful French Quarter! Also it's close to any tours you may be interested in. We took the history ghost tour and LOVED it!!! The staff were friendly enough and the room wonderful! We loved the balconies! What are the cons? The surprise! Parking fees that you have to pay at check out! I ended up paying 30 dollars a night to park. I HIGHLY suggest taking a cab and just being dropped off at the hotel as a car is not needed at all. EVERYTHING is within walking distance! :)
